  • Episode 76 : Google Search Ranking Algorithm update

As of May 2020, Google came out with their plan to update their search ranking algorithm in 2021. The main focus in their algorithm roll out is on page experience, how good are visitors able to engage with content on your website and get valuable information. They further talked about the core web vitals we should focus on i.e :

    1.             Loading time ( 2.5 secs = Good , 4 secs = Poor )
    2.             interactivity ( First input delay : 100ms= Good , 300ms = Poor )
    3.             Visual stability

Google will still prioritise quality content, so you still want to make sure you are giving tons of value to your visitors
