Have you ever had my heart broken? What is the biggest lie you've told recently and to who? These are just some of the questions the Dope Black Women answer this week as they play 'We're not really strangers.' We are not really strangers is a purpose given card game created by an American artist called Koreen who has collaborated with Red Table Talk, about empowering meaningful connections. The purpose of the game is to deepen your existing relationships and create new ones.

We may be in lock down here in the UK, but that doesn't stop us from bringing you new episodes each week! In a Corona free episode, the ladies are joined by fellow Dope Black Woman Adaobi Nwachuku to discuss the pressures that women feel (from society and family) to be a mother. Reflecting upon their different life stories and backgrounds the women discuss whether they want kids, whether they would consider adoption and the similarities and differences in expectations for women between African and Caribbean communities.

There is a huge lack of black organ donators and huge stigmas around the topic, so in this episode the Dope Black Women dispel some of those preconceptions, reflect on their own attitudes towards organ donation, as well as Leanne's story of being an organ donor herself. We also hear from Rachel Rowson, Regional Manager of the London Organ Donation Team, who talks us through some of the facts and statistics, as well as the change in law that is coming into play in May 2020 in regards to organ donation.

What do you do when you know your friend is cheating? What do you do if you don't agree with the way your friend treats their children? Do you distance yourselves from friends that have different political and social views? We need to take more accountability for calling out behavior we don't agree with in our friendship groups, and in this episode Marvyn is joined by fellow Dope Black Dads Kwame Nigel and to discuss this, as well as Nigel's experience overcoming adversity as a teenager to becoming the Dope Black Dad he is today.

This week we open up the conversation around mental health and are joined by a very special Dope Black Woman, Vic Sanusi. Vic is a writer, podcaster and creative who is a huge advocate for mental health, especially encouraging more black people to talk about mental health. Together they open up to talk about everything from therapy to anti depressants, to taking time away from toxic friendships and the importance of having a partner who understands and supports your mental health. It gets deep in this episode, but more than anything we want to encourage our fellow brothers and sisters to talk to your friends and family about your mental health and how you're really feeling.
