He then shares the most powerful lessons he has learned from his guests on the “Curious Humans” podcast, as well as his lessons on becoming a better interviewer and what makes a great podcast. He also reflects on why he travels, and what world travel has meant to him over the years. Ella Cook takes us on her personal-growth and business journey starting with her childhood growing up in Zambia and, then, her adult life in the UK and Australia, before becoming location-independent and moving to Bali, Indonesia.  She opens up about her struggles with substance abuse, self-image, chronic anxiety, suicidal thoughts, abusive relationships, and drifting through life on other peoples’ terms. She shares the moment when she called off her wedding, broke up with her fiancé, moved to Bali and completely changed her life path.  She also acknowledges that the dramatic life-transition alone did not resolve her internal struggles. She explains how she continued to spiral downward in Bali until she hit rock bottom and finally decided to start doing the real personal-development work and taking control of her life. She shares some of the most transformative retreats she attended that helped her connect with her feminine energy, realize her special skills and passions, harness her power, and establish her life-direction.  She explains how those experiences led to her hosting women’s circles and ultimately founding “The Alchemy of She”. Ella also talks about her journey founding, niching, and scaling “Made of Magic”, her digital marketing agency that focuses on high-ticket retreat marketing. She explains why it is so important for women to build and own real businesses, and why the ‘life coaching’ space in Bali is so fraught with problems. She then shares some of her key business-building and marketing tips for growing a successful company.  She also shares the evolution of her productivity habits, morning routines, and day structure.

Freddy Lansky takes us on his 10-year travel journey including his experiences in places like North Korea and Venezuela.  He then talks about his entrepreneurial journey and his experience scaling his last business to 7-figures and having a successful exit.  He explains how over the years he has studied and mastered the award-points game to score free first-class flights around the world that usually retail for up to $15,000.  He then talks about his mission in founding his current company Points Panda and his passion for helping others optimize their award-point acquisition and redemption. He explains the nuances and complexities of opening the right credit cards, double and triple-dipping acquisition strategies for maximizing reward points, and transferring points into the right airlines (which are usually the partners of the actual airlines you want to fly on) to optimize redemption value.  He explains why a highly customized points-acquisition strategy (based on your current spending habits) and points-redemption strategy (based on your specific travel goals) is essential for each individual person. He also explains why opening multiple credit cards will likely help (not hurt) your credit score over the long run. He then recommends his top books, top productivity app, favorite travel destinations of all time, and the top bucket list destinations that are currently on the top of his list.  Freddy concludes by offering a discount for Maverick Show listeners to use his Points Panda concierge service.

In this episode, Matt Bowles takes you behind the scenes of his 7-year nomad journey to 60+ countries on 6 continents.  He explains why he travels the world with carry-on luggage only, and how a minimalist lifestyle helps him detach from materialism and focus on experiences and relationships with people.  Matt also announces the launch of Maverick Nomad Life which contains all of his recommendations for the products, services, and programs he personally uses and recommends.  He then goes on to addresses some of the most common questions about how he has built and sustained a long-term nomadic lifestyle. He breaks down the different sustainability pillars and provides tactical details so you can replicate them.  Matt begins by explaining what his actual lifestyle looks like and why he created it. Next, he discusses the 4 primary ways to generate location independent income to finance a nomadic lifestyle —being an entrepreneur and building a location independent business, being a freelancer, being a salaried employee with a remote work arrangement, and being a real estate investor with passive rental income.  He shares his personal path in co-founding Maverick Investor Group and building it with a location-independent infrastructure to facilitate freedom of mobility for Maverick partners and staff. He also shares tips for getting consistent WiFi around the world, establishing productive routines, and avoiding distractions while traveling. He then goes on to talk about strategies for avoiding loneliness, establishing the community as a nomad, and the incredible value he finds in work-travel programs.  He explains the importance of slow-traveling at a stable pace, attending to health, fitness, and self-care, and even discusses dating, love and relationships as a nomad.
