Send Me A Message! What's the biggest challenge you face when it comes to looking, feeling, and performing your best? Let me know and I'll show you how to MMU in an upcoming epsiode.
🤔 EP038 - If you’re addicted to self-help and motivational content and yet the struggles you had last year or even 5 or 10 years ago still exist how do move from the illusion of progress that comes from consuming content as opposed to creating with said content so that you can bring real-world tangible results into your life?
“In a world inundated with motivational content and instant gratification, it’s becoming increasingly common - especially among men - the constant stream of motivational speeches, videos, and music creates an illusion of progress and growth leading to a dopamine-driven satisfaction that replaces the need for real achievement.” - The Masked Masculinity YouTube Channel
🎙️ In today’s PodWod, we be crushing our EMOTIONAL Health & Fitness.
FACT - We are emotional beings. There is no denying that. But there is an inherent problem with this - emotions are chemically driven, which means we can achieve what we want emotionally without ever achieving what we want physically.
Whether it’s gaining customers, gaining muscle, or gaining mental mastery, if we’re not careful the drug that is motivation will continue to deliver its illusory high internally while we and everyone we love continue to suffer the consequences of innaction externally.

🤔 EP037 - If you’re currently part of a men’s group or looking to get into one, are men’s groups really what they’re all cracked up to be, and is there a better, more effective, and cheaper alternative that can help you Muscle-Up as a man?
“Good people are hard to find, but they shouldn’t be because they’re everywhere.” - DP In Tha Peg
🎙️ In today’s PodWod, we be crushing our RELATIONSHIP Health & Fitness.
FACT - There is absolutely no debate on my end that if you want to get stronger in the gym and test your real potential, one of the best ways to do that is by training with a partner or a group.
While there is no question that you can’t put a price tag on connecting with other men who share the same struggles as you, sharing your struggles and overcoming your struggles are two very different things, and the former often gets confused with being synonyms with the latter.

🤔 EP036 - If you’ve been telling yourself and others that you really need to start working out again but you are one of the millions of men who don’t workout because of a lack of motivation and discipline, since losing weight, building muscle, and being healthier clearly aren’t good enough motivators to get your ass to the gym, what simple mindset shift can you make that will Muscle-Up your motivation?
“Respect your efforts, respect yourself. Self-respect leads to self-discipline. When you have both firmly under your belt, that’s real power.” - Clint Eastwood
🎙️ In today’s PodWod, we be crushing our PHYSICAL Health & Fitness.
FACT - Despite being a Personal Trainer, lack of motivation has always been a nagging mental injury for me. Every single week it seems like I inevitably have one or two training sessions that I simply do not feel like doing.
But then I remember the ultimate question - What Are You Training For? Losing weight, building muscle, and being ‘healthier’ doesn’t cut it for me. On the other hand, being able to look myself in the mirror and say, “I did what I said I was going to fucking do today!” is all the motivation I need to move from excuses to execution.

🤔 EP035 - Since having a clear purpose in life is a prerequisite to living a purposeful life, why are so many men operating in the unknown without clarity of their purpose?
“It’s on the strength of observation and reflection that one finds a way. So we must dig and delve unceasingly.” - Claude Monet
🎙️ In today’s PodWod, we be crushing our PURPOSE Health & Fitness.
FACT - One of the things I used to hate about the gym was going in and not knowing what the fuck I was doing that day. Just winging it, and inevitably doing the same shit over and over again whilst getting nowhere fast!
I’m shaking my head at how eerily similar my life was outside the gym, wandering around with no purpose, no deeper intentions for my life, simply existing and getting nowhere. I don’t know about you but I’m pretty sure I wasn’t put here to wake up day after day only to wake up in the same place I did yesterday.

🤔 EP034 - If stepping into the Truth of who we are and releasing our greatness and unique gifts into the world has the prerequisite of defeating our demons, what’s the first move we need to make in preparing for this life-long battle?
“Whenever you find you are stuck or disconnected, you can begin your life fresh in that moment by pausing, relaxing, and paying attention to your immediate experience.” - Tara Brach
🎙️ In today’s PodWod, we be crushing our EMOTIONAL Health & Fitness.
FACT - I’ve noticed that one of the things that separates a good workout from a GREAT workout is the mindset I have before and during my sets because my mindset affects the emotional strength and stamina I have to push myself. My physical strength and stamina are fuelled by my emotions.
Who among us does not act based on emotion most of the time? If this is the case, aligning our behaviors with who we know ourselves to be - with our Truth - is then a matter of learning to be both the student and the master of our emotions. This is the only way we can tame and ultimately defeat the emotional demons whose job it is to both pull us down while simultaneously push us to new heights.

EP033 - If shame is the darkest demon we will ever have to battle as men, what can we do to keep that motherfucker from pulling us down and holding us back from stepping into the truth of Who We Are?
“Pain shared is pain divided. Success shared is success multiplied.” - Coach Sam Falsafi, Wake Up Warrior
In today’s PodWod, we be crushing our RELATIONSHIP Health & Fitness.
Inside the gym, pain is pain. The pain I feel from doing Burpees is the same pain you feel. So then how come I love them while most people hate them? Am I crazy or is the rest of the world missing something? A little bit of both, I’d say.
Anyone consistent in the fitness game knows that the sooner you develop a healthy relationship with pain, the better. Outside the gym, how we perceive pain and whether we invite it or reject it will determine how strong or how weak we become, and is there any greater or more consistent source of pain than shame?

🤔 EP032 - How do you make progress in a world that is designed to hold you back?
“When we repeat 1 percent errors, day after day, by replicating poor decisions, duplicating tiny mistakes, and rationalizing little excuses, our small choices compound into toxic results.” - James Clear
🎙️ In today’s PodWod, we be crushing our PHYSICAL Health & Fitness.
FACT - Just like in the gym, every rep counts. When you cheat your way through a set we all know that the only person you’re cheating is yourself. I see it all the time with partial reps (when they’re not intentional), shitty form, and rushed tempo (especially eccentric).
The problem lies not in any one rep but when cheating your way through your sets becomes the norm. Both in the gym and life, cheating always catches up to you, so while it may seem like a good decision in the moment, down the road we all inevitably have to face the consequences.

🤔 EP031 - How do you know when you’ve found a Purpose that is worth paying the price for despite all the shitheaps of shame, failure, and criticism you will have to choke down along the way?
🎙️ In today’s PodWod, we be crushing the Chest, Biz, and Triz day of the REPP Work - PURPOSE Health & Fitness - as we be taking inspiration from Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill in one of the best movies I have ever seen: Moneyball.
FACT - I firmly believe that success doesn’t mean shit if we’re not succeeding in something truly meaningful to us. Not this surface-level bullshit of a better body, more money, higher status…but the deep shit. The shit that says to the world, "This is who I am and what I stand for. This is how I am changing the game."

🤔 EP030 - If numbing our pain with Netflix, porn, booze, drugs, or video games isn’t the answer, what are we men supposed to do to cope with the pain we feel so that it doesn’t cripple us or worse yet, send us over the deep end to depression or worse?
🎙️ In today’s PodWod, we be crushing the leg day of the REPP Work - EMOTIONAL Health & Fitness - as we take a totally different look at what it means to experience pain as a man.
FACT - Pain is a part of life. Period. Some of us experience pain more frequently and more deeply than others. It’s not the pain that hurts us. Pain is natural. It’s our relationship with pain. It’s how you respond to it and treat it once it shows up at your door. Are you treating it like a welcomed guest or an unwelcome intruder? How you treat pain will determine how painful it is for you.

🤔 EP029 - If building stronger connections between you and the people you love most is important to you, what is one of the most important skills you need to develop to be the man your loved ones need you to be for them?
