The Misery Machine

In continuing with our coverage of child deaths in each state, this week, Drewby and Yergy travel to Massachusetts to discuss the cases of Bella Bond and Jeremiah Oliver, two young children who were murdered at the hands of their own mothers, and their mother's significant others - despite child protective services being involved with both families.

You asked - we listened. This week, Drewby and Yergy venture back to the state of Indiana to discuss the mystery surrounding the deaths of sisters Kionnie, Kerriele, Keyara and Keyana, also known as "The Flora Four" who died in a house fire that some speculate wasn't an accident. We also touch on the phenomena of "Missing White Woman Syndrome" and how it may apply to the Flora Fire case. We review the tragic deaths of cousins Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins, and the striking similarities between their case and the case of Abby Williams and Liberty German. Finally, we close this episode with an update Brian Chadwell.

Police are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Citizens can donate to the reward fund by sending a check to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security at 302 W. Washington Street Room E208, Indianapolis, IN, 46204. To ensure the donation goes to the appropriate account, the memo line should read “Flora Fire Reward.”

In honor of Pride Month, this week, Drewby and Yergy take a trip to Nebraska to discuss the 1993 killing of Brandon Teena, a young transman and subject of the 1999 film "Boys Don't Cry," and mother Lisa Lambert, and Philip DeVine, a 22 year old black man that was completely erased from the movie. In addition, we discuss how the film didn't age well to the point of being considered transphobic by some folks.

In light of Pride Month, Yergy and Drewby travel to the Barking district of East London, UK, to discuss the case of a serial killer that targeted young gay men on various dating platforms, only to have the authorities brush their cases under the rug and ignore deaths that were very clearly linked.
