A few years ago, the Seattle Seahawks bucked the rule of thumb, bucked analytics, taking running backs in the second round in back to back seasons. And while currently the Seahawks have as deep and strong stable of backs as you'll find in the NFL, they've struggled to maximize that talent. The rule of thumb has been proven true, at least so far, and given the Front Office and John Schneider a chance to learn some tough lessons.
