Episode 16: Boss Babes Tell All: Morning Routines 101
When you hear the words morning routine, what comes to mind?
For me, I think of this elaborate routine I wish to have where I wake up 2 hours before my son, drink my energy drink, workout, journal, read personal development, and maybe even get some emails in, all before I get my son out of bed.
But, that hardly ever happens. #momlife.
I want to emphasize the word elaborate, as I feel like morning routines is this giant trend that has tons of expectations placed upon it, and especially as a mom, that just does not work for us. We don’t have time to be elaborate, so we need to be realistic and efficient with our time, which is why in our first episode of Boss Babes Tell All, I am interviewing a wonderful guest speaker that is exceptional at doing tons of things, and still making time for a routine without it being 2+ hours long, otherwise known as @Teachinginpearls, Mrs. Chelsea Hilliard.
In this episode, we discuss…
“Reading The Miracle Morning greatly affected how I view morning routines and the importance...” [06:20]
The miracle morning helped me start putting an actual effort into my morning routine, as it allowed me to...
“The struggles of getting up early...” [07:15]
Sometimes finding the motivation can be hard, as well as getting your body to adjust, but you just have to force yourself to stick to it until it becomes an actual response….
“You need to have nonnegotiables that are a part of your morning routine...” [12:45]
I typically like to do something to move my body and something that feeds my soul...
“Tips and Tricks for getting out of bed...” [17:52]
Not having your phone right next to your bed can help. Also, having something that you are looking forward to in the mornings...
“You need an effective evening routine to set yourself up well for the morning...” [22:53]
You cannot establish a morning routine if you are not going to bed at a reasonable hour...
