A behind the scenes look at producing a case with America's Most Wanted

America’s Most Wanted is in the history books as one of the most popular television shows ever produced.  It is likely that when the show came on the air in 1988, it was the ember for the flames that ignited of True Crime.

Join Wendy and David as they take you behind the scenes at AMW, by detailing a case David had in 1998, when Lexington Kentucky native Lonetta White was savagely murdered and burned by Virginia Caudill and Jonathan “Heavy” Goforth.  AMW took the case on.

On February 7, 2015, Rexanna Walker Browning, walked into her home on Odessa Avenue home in Beckley West Virginia, and found her 69-year-old husband, Pastor Ron Browning, dead in the home.  Ronald Browning had been viciously attacked, leaving a horrific scene in the home.

Investigators arriving shortly after described what they saw in the home as one of the most gruesome they had ever witnessed.

Join your host David as he invites you into a detailed conversation with the 2 seasoned investigators that investigated this brutal act of evil.

Beckley Police Deputy Chief David Allard and Sergeant Morgan Bragg will take you along for a fast-paced investigation full of chaos, twists and turns that resulted in the arrest of an unlikely suspect.

Part 1

In Part 1, we learn about our investigators David Allard and Morgan Bragg; how they came into law enforcement and what drives their passion for investigations.

Then, you get the call when they do that a victim has been found dead in a home in Beckley West Virginia.  You will walk into that house with David and Morgan and see the horror that they witnessed that remains unforgettable to this day.  We learn more about our victim, Reverend Ronald Browning, and some suspicious behavior of potential suspects just hours after his death.

On “The Role of the Coroner with Jessamine County Kentucky Coroner Michael Hughes”, Wendy and David are joined by Coroner Michael Hughes, his wife Olivia Hughes and Jessamine County Coroner Cassie Robinson, for a personal conversation about what coroners do in real life.

In this Bonus Series, you will hear all about what it takes to be a coroner, and how one gets to the office, as well as the training that takes place and the duties and responsibilities involved.

But as usual, The Murder Police Podcast goes much deeper.  We will also learn about valuable relationships, both in the coroner’s office and with other stakeholders, and the community.  Coroner Hughes leads a true team working with his wife and the deputy coroners in his office, so much a team, many might be jealous.
