So, it’s January, and that means two things: Jeff is done with his Jaguars duties (because they’re never in the playoffs) and is relaxing up in Georgia, and it’s time for the COLD. With those two things in mind, the guys talked about what they love, even if the weather’s a bit nippy.
It can be a little tough doing all the little things associated with fishing when you can’t feel your fingers. It’s been a bit chilly, hasn’t it? Well, that’s what Capt. Kevin and the usual suspects kick around on this episode…what do you do when the most likely thing you’re gonna catch on the water is a cold? Listen in to find out!
Be sure to check out the weather forecast too.
Welcome to 2025! It’s a new year, and so far…it’s proving to be quite the chilly one. The guys talked about it all morning, and how it affects everyone’s time in the woods and on the water. Capt. Kevin was doing some OSR, but he was on board via the wonders of modern technology, and we found out he needs to have his redneck card revoked! Why, you ask? Listen to find out the reason, and see if you agree.
But the major event of the morning was the guys’ interview with Alberto Vanegas. Alberto recently caught a great white shark at Amelia Island! Check out his INCREDIBLE story in this episode!
Sorry for the clickbait title. NO, the Fishing Forecast does NOT have a new host! Capt. Kevin was just away doing some OSR (FFR?), so Capt. Chip Wingo was sitting in the chair for this episode. Capt. Leon was soon to join him, and Capt. Ricky checked in right away as well. Of course, the talk centered around that pesky thermometer…YIKES, IT’S CHILLY!!!!
Listen in for some tips on handling the icy water, and get the forecast as well.
Capt. Kevin was up in Georgia this week to enjoy an ENC (Empty Nester Christmas), but he was on the air with Capt. Kirk and Jeff to continue bringing the Christmas cheer. Papa Lageman even sat in to make it extra special!
Lots to talk about on this episode, including Kevin’s mind-blowing eagle trivia question and the story of a great white caught on the beach!
In the wake of the OS Christmas Show at Ringpower, the guys spent a lot of time talking about all of the stories coming out the amazing events. Again, thanks to everyone who came, everyone who helped, and everyone who took the time to share some goodies!
Since it is, in fact, the Christmas season, the question of YOUR Christmas list came up…so what do you want this year?
Capt. Kevin was back, but still basking in the glory of another amazing OS Christmas Show at RingPower! Lots of great memories once again, as well as lots of great stories. But time continues to move, and there are still fish to be caught, right? Well, he caught up with Capt. Ricky, Capt. Leon, and Capt. Chip to talk all about it…and find out of the weather’s going to continue to keep the fishing interesting.
That’s right! It was time for the 2024 Edition of the Outdoors Show Christmas Show, LIVE from RingPower in St. Augustine! As is always the case, this episode was a complete blast with all kinds of fun…with a HUGE crowd on hand for the festivities and the giveaways!
Special thanks to the INCREDIBLE generosity of our sponsors to share so many fantastic prizes with the OS family!
HOLLYWOOD SIGHTING! HOLLYWOOD SIGHTING! That’s right…Capt. “Hollywood” Ricky Poupore was back in studio for this episode after all of his travels. And as he settled in, he and Capt. Kevin talked about what seems to be on a lot of anglers’ minds right now: wahoo. It made for great conversation and insight, especially when usual cast of characters joined…ALL OF WHOM ARE GIVING AWAY CHARTER TRIPS AT THIS SATURDAY’S CHRISTMAS SHOW!!!!
Find out what Mother Nature’s going to do as well!
This is going to be hard to believe, but all three guys were actually back in studio! They were back after a bunch of time in the woods and with family…great stories about some great times.
Of course, a lot of talk focused on everything happening next week at the annual OS Christmas Show, including the UNBELIEVABLE prizes you can win! You don’t want to miss it (and you have to be there to win), so plan to join the guys at Ringpower in St. Augustine. Get there early, stay all morning!
And…we’ve saved the most important for last: today is Dec. 7th – Pearl Harbor Day. We want to honor those who fell in that heinous attack. We want to salute EVERYONE who has served our country and those who have supported our troops throughout our country’s history. Thank you, one and all, for your service and sacrifice!
