Capt. Kevin and Capt. Cory were in studio talking about summer storms, and believe it or not, they’re just like Santa Claus! Why? Well, when Santa shows up, he drags soot around the fireplace, leaves cookie crumbs everywhere, spills some milk on the floor…and heaven knows what those reindeer are leaving on your roof. But the next morning, there’s all kinds of gifts for everybody!
Tropical storms are the same way – they’re a big fat mess when they’re here, but after they leave, the fishing is like Christmas morning!
Get the lowdown on the fishing, and find out about that forecast as well.
The boys were excited to welcome back Dr. Quinton White to talk about everything happening in First Coast waters…and this time, he had some stories to share about his recent world tour! Of course, the shark question came up, as you would guess. It’s another MUST LISTEN episode for sure.
The guys also talked about the interesting storm that was Hurricane Debby, and Renee checked in to talk about the 2024 Northeast Florida Lionfish Roundup on Sept. 7.
Capt. Kevin and Capt. Cory piled into the studio for this week’s episode shaking off the last of the raindrops from Hurricane Debby, and scratching their heads about why everyone was making such a big deal out of her in the first place.
Of course, it didn’t take long to get back to talking about fishing, and there are plenty of good stories and tips to go around from the captains and the callers. And don’t miss that forecast, either!
The King of the Beach was up and running as the guys entered the studio. To be more accurate, Capt. Kirk and Jeff came into the studio, because Capt. Kevin was busy trying to win the thing! That meant there was an empty chair in the studio, which was filled by none other than Capt. Leon Dana!
They talked about the tournament, of course, and had several participants call in with updates (including Capt. Kevin himself). Paul Dozier called in with an update about the latest reg situation after some time with Congressman Rutherford, and the guys took a minute to address the TRUTH about the weather situation, and even with Tropical Storm/Hurricane Debby looming, and more.
Welcome to August…the most wonderful, busiest, hottest time of the year! Capt. Kevin and Capt. Cory, along with the usual cast of characters, talk about what’s coming up, including a preview of King of the Beach!
They’ve got their weatherman hats on for this one, so you’ve got listen as you get ready for all that’s coming at you.
With Capt. Kirk on assignment this week, Capt. Kevin and Jeff called Domenic Paniccia back to sit in! Domenic is BIG into kayak fishing, and he had a lot of insight to share.
It’s funny how this show works sometimes, and how the conversations take a direction nobody saw coming. This episode was one of those times…no clue how the guys got to it, but there was a bunch of great talk – and great tips – about all those rechargeable batteries we use for everything.
Catch up with Domenic online:
…where do you go? Find out where Capt. Ricky went to catch some nice ones, what Capt. Kevin USED to use to catch some big ones, and why Capt. Cory wasn’t in the studio to tell some of his secrets! Of course, the usual cast of characters checked in, and you got your forecast for the final week of July to check out as well.
If you’re looking for some tips, this was the episode for you! Big stuff, little stuff, handy stuff, must-have/must-do stuff…so many tips, you may want to listen to this episode with a pad and pencil.
The guys also welcomed in Eric Searcy, DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) to talk about all kinds of amazing animal stuff! Cows, horses, dogs and more.
So what’s changing? Capt. Kevin, Capt. Ricky and Capt. Cory talked about the changes in water temperature. Now when THAT changes, all kinds of things change. You wanna get prepped for the changes? This is the show you need to listen to. Of course, it’ll help to get that forecast, too…
In the wake of an unfortunately typical HOT MESS of a one-day snapper season, the guys got together to talk about it a little bit…but spent more time talking about how good things have been otherwise.
In addition to all of their own fishing talk (and a little bit of snake talk), the guys welcomed in Louis Joseph, founder of the North Florida King of the Beach. It’s an incredible tournament with incredible prizes, but the most important and incredible aspect of the tournament is the cause which it supports: Mason’s Voice, a charity that benefits families impacted by spina bifida.
