Earlier this year I experienced a complete life change.  I lost 62 lbs and now I am in the best shape of my life.  Now I have been able to incorporate some things I love into my Overlanding Lifestyle.  Some hobbies that I have not been able to do because I was out of shape or really just did not have the "want to" I am now wanting and desiring.  Mountain Biking, Hiking, Backpacking, Kayaking and more have now become a part of my life and avenues whereby I can explore MORE and see MORE and get outside MORE along with my Overlanding Adventures.

Recently, I was invited to go on a backpacking trip (3 days and 2 nights) on the Ozark Highlands Trail in Arkansas with a friend and 2 of his friends.  I was honored.  I did not want to be "that guy" that they were waiting on, having to constantly help out, or voted off the island when we got back.  I was worried if I was in shape to make it.  I was worried I would not have all the right gear.  I was worried I would starve to death.  All these and more scampered through my mind as I prepared to make this trip into the unknown.

Tony from Bats Offroad and I (the BROfessor) recap our time at Rendezvous in the Ozarks 2022.  Rendezvous in the Ozarks is put on each year by Natural State Overland (www.naturalstateoverland.org) and was held this year at Mulberry Mountain.  It was an amazing time with over 700 rigs showing up from over 30 states.  Vendors, classes, trail runs, and tons of giveaways and family time is what makes this event special each year.  Tony and I talk about our experience there and give our rundown on how the weekend went for us.

We took a few weeks off (since we didn't have any service where we were) and explored parts of NM, CO, and WY.  It was incredible.  This is the first time I had ever been out west in June.  I had been out there in March and April and knew how cold it was then.  I had been out there mostly camping in July and knew the weather at this time was perfect.  June threw us a curveball.  Camping in snow every night, high winds, and tons of rain made it a challenge to say the least.  In the end we had an amazing time and created tons of memories.
