A new study has found meditation actually lowers levels of motivation, contrary to the previously held belief that mindfulness is a benefit to the workplace. Nurses may go on strike after 'strongly' rejecting a new pay deal from district health boards. A very significant number of nurses voted in favour of strike action next month, but it is still considered to be the last resort action and New Zealand Nurses Organisation will continue to work toward a resolution with DHBs.
