Raised by Wolves is Ridley Scott's return to his comfort zone of science fiction but this time on a TV budget in an episodic format. He's in safe territory here with ambivalent androgynous androids, religious allusions and of course some creepy alien monsters to boot. Starring Amanda Collin and Travis Fimmel, the series is truly a visual feast, but is it a narrative famine?

Dion and Quinny have left the rest of the crew in hypersleep for this episode, but given the technicals gremlins we experienced; they were probably safer there anyway.

Lovecraft Country is the new HBO horror series from the mind of Misha Green and produced by Jordan Peele, based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Matt Ruff. Atticus Freeman (Jonathan Majors) has returned from war a changed man, and his experiences and fascinations will lead him into the darkest, strangest corners of America searching for the truth about his heritage. There will be monsters along the way and many of them aren't even the supernatural kind.

Dion and Quinny may be The Great Old Ones and Elder Things of this podcast, but with the combined power of Jill and Peta behind them, they are fixing to break out of their ancient crystal prison and into your ears via the eldritch art of podcasting.

PROJECT POWER is the new super-powered Netflix film starring Dominique Fishback, Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon Levitt. It follows the misadventures of a group of ne'er do wells as they attempt to unravel the mystery behind a new kind of drug that gives the user actual super powers for 5 minutes.

Quinny and Dion are joined by Peta and Jill to see if this (surprisingly) big-budget little film, is a bitter pill to swallow or if we just need a spoon full of sugar to help this medicine go down.

As an addendum this week we looked at winners and losers of the DC FANDOME event that occurred on August the 22nd, while looking ahead to the second half of it coming up in September. Of course, as a part of that, we got excited for new trailers... because thats what we do around here.

The cavalcade of Neflix comic-book adaptations continues! With a successful first series under their belt, it's time for the misfits of The Umbrella Academy to return for their sophomore year.

After an initial season spent stopping an apocalypse in 2019 the siblings are split up across the first three years of the 1960s with another apocalypse already knocking on their door for season 2.

Quinny has gathered three amazing super-powered sisters: Peta, Jill and Bec, to secretly undermine the cult of Dion, in this podcast that eschews the wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey in favour of a linear plot and NO TIME TRAVEL B*LLSH%t! Will they overcome this cult of the dastardly dude?  Do they care more about the storyline of the TV show they are reviewing? Find out in this weeks earth-shaking episode!

Since its introduction in 1963, The Doom Patrol has always lurked in the weirder corner of the DC Universe. A precursor to Marvel's X-Men (by about three months), the comic book has been through many iterations led by many extraordinary creators, including its originators Arnold Drake, Bob Haney, and artist Bruno Premiani. It then passed through the hands of luminaries like John Byrne, Keith Giffen, Grant Morrison, and even The Umbrella Academy creator Gerard Way!

The Doom Patrol Series on DC Universe (and now HBO Max) follows on from the back-door pilot episode on Titans and features a cast of misfits such as: Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Rita Farr (April Bowlby), Cyborg (Joivan Wade), Negative Man (Matt Bomer), Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), and Niles Calder (Timothy Dalton)... all facing off against the malevolent villain and narrator Mr Nobody (Alan Tudyk).

In this "Podcast Patrol", Dion and Quinny are joined by by Jill and Peta to discuss the most unapologetically weird show on TV. Whether you're a cockroach with delusions of grandeur, a homicidal military rat, or a disembodied, magical, blue horse head... there's something here for you.
