The duo, who are both experienced players and coaches, decided to create the podcast to bring more attention to the sport and highlight the achievements of female players and coaches. The podcast will cover a range of topics, including player profiles, game strategies, and tournament updates. In their first episode, the Pickle Gals introduce themselves and discuss why they decided to launch the podcast. They note that while there are some fantastic women doing podcasts and coaching in the pickleball community, the scale is still way out of balance. They hope that their podcast will help to bring more attention to the sport and encourage more women to get involved. They also discuss the growth of the sport, including the fact that women make up 40% of players in the US, and that the increase in players coming into the sport is more on the women's side. The Pickle Gals are excited to be launching their podcast and hope to inspire and educate players of all levels.
