Since November I have been battling an infection in my left arm. Dec 26th things escalated and we are still fighting it. I am fighting an infection and trying to prevent an adrenal crisis. PART 2 of my Christmas with Addison's Disease. My trip to the ER quickly turned into a very scary situation for me and my family. It led to some extreme measures for my safety. There is always a bit of humour along the way to hid my fear. And this girl was scared.

Christmas 2024 was an amazing success with ADDSON'S DISEASE...until December 26th. It was a December of boundaries, rest, and anxiety management making sure I had the best holiday with my CORE "PEOPLE"...And I did...A HUGE SUCCESS....and the December 26th happened.

My steroid dose for my adrenal insufficiency has changed a lot in the 14 years. Starting on HC tablets that crippled my quality of life eventually evolved into an infusion pump and using a combination of 3 different times of steroids. Another recent increase in my steroids has improved y quality of life once again.

ROCK OF AWARENESS - Every story makes a difference. Every opportunity to bring awareness to Addison's Disease saves lives. Mauve who was diagnosed less than 2 years ago and through her PASSION for PAINTING was given an incredible opportunity to share her passion and advocate for ADRENAL INSUFFICIENCY. Her ART found PURPOSE with Addison's Disease awareness.

Follow up from E277 - ER TRIP - I made some mistakes in my ER TRIP. and I have had the day to think about them. I made a plan. It is my responsibility to be prepared in an emergency and I FAILED.

Unknown reason for sever dehydration sent me to the ER yesterday. It was chronic illness showing me how things can change quickly. Doctor's and nurses were great listening to me. However it was tough communicating as I was delusional and scared. Being prepared was helpful as we grabbed my hospital bag knowing we had everything we needed. I took it as an opportunity to ask questions and learn for next time. I know there will be a next time.

My journey in life has been unique and started YEARS before adrenal insufficiency. It is JILL THERAPY time with her pickle family. I made a choice in a traumatic situation that change my path in life. I was able to learn and evolve from loose that has lead to me a beautiful journey. Lesson's learned that have helped me survive every 'death' I have experienced in this life.
