Kole, Ben, and Jala talk about Divinity: Original Sin 2, Gorogoa, and Spy Party going Early Access.
The Brief:Daddy's home, and he's pissed. People don't regard Bioshock 2 as well as they do the original, and that's a shame. What this sequel lacks in novelty, it gains by being the most mechanically satisfying entry in this popular series. And while people don't go nuts over its story, it does some very satisfying things with the trappings of Rapture. Listen to this lengthy episode for some effusive apologia about an unfairly forgotten game.

David Crane was a foundational figure in early video games, but that man loved him some obtuse mechanics. "A Boy and His Blob" drew in lots of kids with its E.T.-esque storyline, but repelled a lot of them because it's not the kind of game that wants you to play it. We dig into this, and more, but also try to pick the right pet for Kole.
Deeper into the endless woods we go, to find a tiger and almost certain death. Evan joins me to talk about the second half of the fairy tale that makes up the core of this book. Tim Ross is following the Covenant Man's directions, headed on a fool's errand to find a cure for his mother's blindness. And he has no idea what wonders (and horrors) he will see on the way.
Do yourself a favor and at least watch the intro to this game. Holy cow, those walk cycles.
