After I shared over 30 perimenopause signs and symptoms on the show, my inbox filled with messages from women who recognised themselves in almost every one. Then came the next question. Now what? What helps? What can I do to feel like myself again?
In this episode I answer that question with the Pleasurelit Perimenopause Framework, the seven connected pillars I created after entering perimenopause myself at 38. I walk you through healthcare, nutrition, fitness, sleep, nervous system regulation, connections and pleasure, with practical tips you can start using today.

If you’ve been searching “What are the first signs of perimenopause?”, “Could I be in perimenopause in my 30s?” or simply wondering “I don’t feel like myself. What is going on?”, then this episode is for you. “I thought it was just me.” That’s the message I get every time I talk about the perimenopause symptoms I noticed when I entered perimenopause at 38. I speak into 30 signs of perimenopause, from my own body and from the women I work with: bloating, cycles changes, waking at 2am reliving old memories, forgetting words, heel pain, sore breasts, libido changes and many other perimenopause symptoms you might have not heard about before.
You are not crazy and you are not alone in this!

Libido and nervous system regulation for high achieving and anxious women in perimenopause can look different when the inner critic is loud, the perfectionism and overthinking takes over. We talk about why somatic pleasure, breathwork and movement regulate the nervous system, the difference between arousal and desire, spontaneous versus responsive desire, the one-five-ten scale for communicating willingness, and the affection menu as a route back to connection that isn't all or nothing. when libido changes during perimenopause.

Welcome back to my Pleasure tips Series. Today’s pleasure tip is: wear what makes you feel good. Think about that jacket, that dress or that one piece sitting in your wardrobe reserved for the special occasion. You are the special occasion, every single day. This is the heart of a pleasure practice: what you wear is an extension of your energy, and it can be a direct portal into your pleasure, if you let it. Choose the clothing, texture, colours, patterns, fabric that makes you feel pleasurelit.

Welcome back to my Pleasure Tips Series. Today’s tip is the pleasure first principle.
Do you treat pleasure like a reward, something you get to have once the to-do list is done, once the hard day is behind you, or once you have achieved the thing you set out to achieve? This tip asks you to flip that. Pleasure first.

Welcome back to my Pleasure Tips Series. Today’s tip is pleasure body mapping. A beautiful, delicious practice for exploring your own body, learning what you like and how you like it, and just as importantly, what you don’t. Taking note of that is how you open yourself up to more pleasure.

Welcome back to my Pleasure Tips Series. Today’s tip is conscious breathing. I know that sounds simple, but it is one of the most effective and powerful tools you have with you at all times. It shifts your energy and shifts your entire being within seconds, within minutes. Think about the moments you are rushing through, or things are getting too much, or you are stuck in your head running through the to-do list or what to cook for dinner, even while you are intimate with your partner.

Welcome back to my Pleasure Tips Series. Today’s tip is one I cannot say loud enough: explore your own body. Depending on where you are at, you can start really slow. Maybe that looks like getting more comfortable being naked in your own space, no mirror, just you. Maybe it looks like actually looking at your body in the mirror without flinching away. From there you can move into gazing. Then into flirting with yourself. Then into fuller exploration, head to toe.
