Tony Pauline from Pro Football Network joined the show. Tony was the first to correctly mock Najee Harris to the Steelers last year. This year he thinks it would be a surprise if the Steelers didn’t take Malik Willis if he’s available at 20th overall. He said they could look to defensive back if Willis is taken before the 20th pick. He believes after Pittsburgh, no other team will take a QB in the first round unless somebody trades late into the round. He likes Kenny Pickett to end up in New Orleans midway through round one. Tony has Jordan Davis to the Ravens at 14th. Tony named a few wide receivers that could be interesting to watch for the Steelers tomorrow night. Sam Howell will have a long weekend in Tony’s eyes – he has the UNC QB falling to the third round. Looking to the Friday night rounds, Tony targeted a few receivers like John Metchie and Nick Cross as the safety position. A player the Steelers should jump on in the second round is Travis Jones at defensive tackle, if he’s on the board. Tony gave a shout out to our favorite late-round linemen prospect, Doug Kramer. Former NFL tight end, turned Georgia football analyst Randy McMichael joined the show. Randy said Jordan Davis is an exciting prospect, but he got in such good shape for the combine, he barely recognized him. He expects Davis to be a hell of a player because nobody compares to him. Randy likes fellow Georgia defensive tackle, Devonte Wyatt over Davis because of his versatility up front on a defense. He listed Davis as “elite” when it comes to stopping the run and said a line with Davis, Stephon Tuitt and Cam Heyward would be a dream defensive front. He preached if Davis can get the diet under control he will be a force to be reckon with in the league. Vince Wilfork is the only person Randy could think of to compare to Davis. Randy said George Pickens is “one of my favorite players I’ve watched,” but noted his immaturity. Randy spoke on Devonte Wyatt a little bit more with the draft prospect having some pre-draft concerns off the field. Lewis Cine drew a lot of intrigue from Randy as he said he would be a good sleeper in the draft.
