The Pomp And Joe Show

12-31 Pomp and Joe 10am Hour

Anthony in Oakland calls in to share some memories about Roberto Clemente, on the anniversary of his untimely passing. What are our wishes for the New Year?

Looking back on the people that we have lost in 2025. Mike Lange, Dave Parker, Craig Wolfley, and Joe's Parents. Joe talks about how he got to where he is now.

Joe does not look into the transfer portal as much as he used to. Mark Kaboly joins the show from the awards ceremony from the Steelers facility. Patrick Queen gets the award for being the most cooperative to the media. Derrick Harmon won the rookie of the year award. Are the Steelers better off facing Lamar Jackson than Snoop Huntley? Jackson has been slumping while Huntley was good in his appearance last week.

What was the worst moment for the Steelers in Kaboly's mind in 2025? Mark makes his prediction for Steelers-Ravens to decide the AFC North.

What are the New Year's resolutions for each of the teams in Pittsburgh? What are Joe's and myself resolutions going into 2026?

Sean Gentille joins the show to talk about the best and worst Pittsburgh sports moment in 2025. He says that it is the lead up to the Pitt-Notre Dame game, not the game itself. It was the hype and fun that surrounded the Pitt program prior to the game. The Skenes Cy Young just reminds him how bad the Pirates are surrounding him.

Listeners chime in to talk about their lowest parts of the 2025 season from the Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins. Jeff Patton from the Baseball Card Castle calls in to reveal his card of the day.

The biggest thing that happened in Pittsburgh sports in the year 2025 according to Mr. Starkey, was the loss to the Baltimore Ravens in the 2025 playoffs. He called it the low point of the Tomlin era until the game against the Browns this past Sunday. The Penguins needed a change and Mike Sullivan was fired. The Pirates moved on from Derek Shelton and brought in Don Kelly. Where has the change been for the Steelers as they have been at the head of average for over a decade?

This could be the year of Austin per Dom. What do you want to happen the rest of the way with the Steelers? The Steelers game plan was terrible. They should have run it up the middle more. The shots the team did take, did not make any sense. Tomlin said he had no issues with how Rodgers handled the last couple plays. A bunch of calls regarding the Cleveland game. Where was Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell? Was the Steelers game plan against Myles Garrett smart? More callers.
