The Pomp And Joe Show

Could we see a 18 or 20 game schedule in the NFL soon?

Where has this been his entire career?

The NHL Playoffs, NBA Playoffs, what can the Pirates do to fix their lineup, and more on the Bob Pompeani Showdown.

What were the Falcons thinking? What other draft moves were surprising or raised the guys' eyebrows?

What teams in the Steelers' division are on the rise and which ones, if any, took a step back after the draft?

What do the guys think of the predictions? What else do the Steelers need to address before the start of the season?

The NFL Draft is done. What did the Steelers end up with? Do Joe Starkey, Paul Zeise, and Bob Pompeani like what the Steelers did? Who are the favorite picks over the weekend?

The full Joe Starkey Show with Paul Zeise from Friday April 26th, 2024

Hour 1 with Paul Zeise: The Steelers selected Washington tackle Troy Fautanu 20th overall. We react to the pick. He grew up a fan of Troy Polamalu and wore 43 for years. Steelers reporter Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette joined the show. Troy Fautanu is a solid pick at 20th and has versatility to move to guard, if necessary. He should be the right tackle with Broderick Jones at left. Ray doesn't even think Dan Moore will be on the 53-man roster in September at this point. Free association.

Hour 2 with Paul Zeise: Former NFL GM Doug Whaley joined the show. Doug takes us through the conversations that happen at the start of day 2. Troy Fautanu will be ok at tackle despite only being 6-foot-4. No one thought Fautanu would be there and many people, in Doug's mind, were trying to convince themselves Amarius Mims (Cincinnati) would have been great despite only playing starting games. We hear from you on Fautanu.
