To me, the beauty of birth is not about how the baby comes into the world. It's not about twinkle lights, a pretty environment or a birth tub. What is beautiful and inspiring to me in birth is the woman's power of choice. My body felt the fear days later after my emergency C-section... but in this moment, I stepped up. For me, for her.
