SPECIAL REPORT: Melissa Robey of WE BACK BLUE joined the show to talk about the organization’s origins, bridging the public and police divide, and the Toys For Tots drives across the area, including this weekend with Governor Elect Youngkin lending a hand. Melissa also discusses ways that Gov. Elect Youngkin has reached out to law enforcement during the campaign, building coalitions.
WE BACK BLUE’s mission is to give communities the opportunity to build trust and advocate for their police. We will support police initiatives working diligently to ensure departments across the country are well-equipped and safe to carry out their duty to protect and serve.
TOYS FOR TOTS: Chantilly, VA. For the second year, We Back Blue will partner with the Virginia State Police and the Virginia Department of Transportation to collect toys for children in need. The event will be held on Saturday, December 4th from 12:00pm-4:00pm in the parking lot of the Target store in Chantilly, VA. All collections will go to Toys for Tots, whose primary mission is to “help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America's less fortunate children.” There will be a drive-through toy drop-off as well as the opportunity to take pictures with a cruiser, Marines in uniform, Santa, and other very special guests. We also partnered with a law enforcement family-owned coffee/cocoa truck, Roll Call Room Cafe’s Mobile. Toys for Tots has unfortunately seen a drastic reduction in donations. On average, they collect over 100,000 toys to be distributed to kids in need. This year they are in greater need, and we are going to do our part to help! Our goal is to raise awareness for this incredible event, while also helping to make up some of the shortfalls they’ve experienced due to the pandemic. Last year We Back Blue collected 500 toys, this year our goal is 1500 plus.
Location: Target located at 14391 Chantilly Crossing Ln., Chantilly, VA 20151.

Alison Maloni joined The Protectors Podcast to talk about just that! Alison is a Public Relations expert and is also seen weekly as an anchor on Newsmax! Alison recently authored the best-selling BREAKING IN THE NEWS.
About the book: What if, one morning, you opened your email to a request from an editor at Forbes and they wanted to interview you about your company? What if a podcast that has millions of subscribers wanted to have you on to tell your story? It all could happen because you took a few hours to find the contacts, craft a pitch, and reach out to the media. You don't need to pay thousands of dollars a year to a public relations agency. Getting press coverage can be done yourself; you just need to know what it takes to be newsworthy.

1973. 5 shots ring out in the suburbs of the Nation’s Capital. Colonel Joseph Alon lay dead from an assassin’s bullets. A few blocks away, Fred Burton, a then sixteen-year teen sleeps silently in his bed. A short time later, in another part of the world, Ted Andre’s dad, a decorated MACV-SOG veteran, hears of his friend Joseph’s murder. Answers. Answers are needed. How? Why? Who? These questions haunt. Ted’s father’s dying wish is to learn who killed his friend.
Follow Ted and Fred’s Journey as they discuss their paths to justice and uncover the truth of the assassination of Israeli Colonel Joseph Alon. In this first part of a multi-part series, Ted and Fred talk about the 1970s and their relations to the Colonel. PS: We not only discuss the assassination but also the culture of the 1970s (including Ozzy Osbourne's connection to Ted).

Eric Bishop, thriller writer, joined The Protectors to talk about his recently released book, THE BODY MAN. We were joined by a fellow author Jack Stewart (who is also an F-18 Fighter Pilot!!). We hit on a bunch of great topics.
The Book: Who protects the secrets of the Presidency? The Body Man.
And he's vanished without a trace.
In a town that’s obsessed with dark secrets, where the currency of power is information, The White House has kept a huge one for decades. Charged with the task of protecting and defending the Office of the Presidency from threats both outside and in, the keeper of secrets—the Body Man—has been in the shadows since the 1960s.
The Body Man has been a unique protector of American presidents ever since a previous well-known president used the first Body Man to usher women, diplomats, and other heads of state into the White House via a secret tunnel. The Body Man is drawn from the Secret Service, but he isn’t on the classic protective detail, and he reports to no one. Once his term is over, he’s given a huge payout and a one-way ticket to anywhere on Earth.
With a CIA conspiracy buff named Zed and The Body Man’s aged neighbor Rose, former US Army Ranger and FBI Special Agent Eli Payne and his new probationary agent Kat Stone must find the Body Man before it’s too late—and the trail may lead directly to the Oval Office itself.
