Creating change is hard. Growth is challenging. Often times we don't need more information, we need more clarity, focus and an ability to identify the things we should actually be spending our time on.
Brian joins me to discuss the principles we've been implementing to dial out the noise and identify the big levers for growth.
We explore:
- Doing less, not more
- Essentialism and what that entails
- How do develop intrinsic motivation
- Why "New Year, New Me" fails more often than not
And much more.

Phases we experience in our lives can be viewed as 'seasons'. This framework allows us to look at periods of great difficulty (Winter) or great happiness (Summer) as transient and temporary. When we accept this temporary nature, we can approach life with a different perspective, one that can be extremely helpful - whether it's creating resilience in the hard times or generating more presence and peace in the good times.
Brian O'Loughlin joins me to discuss this framework, where we've used it in our own lives, and how we can all develop this skill as we grow.

Dr.Afif El-Khuffash is a Neonatologist, a Professor of Paediatrics and a Lactation Consultant, as well as an established digital artist, podcaster and prominent figure on social media, using the platforms to educate the public on matters of health and children's health.
There is so much information available online when it comes to health that it has become extremely difficult to decide what works best for us and our families.
Combined with the rise of thousands of social media accounts and influencers delivering a plethora of contradicting advice, sifting through the nonsense and bad information is a skill we must develop.
Dr.Afif explains how we can develop a set of tools that will help us understand the landscape of health and medical advice. We can learn how to ask better questions, how to verify our sources of information, how to make better decisions based on what works for us on an individual level, and how we can work with our healthcare professionals to create better outcomes for ourselves and our children.
We also explore some common misconceptions around infant and child health and Dr.Afif sheds some light on some of the more complex and nuanced topics like the imapce of C-sections in later life, co-sleeping, breastfeeding and more.

Hopelessness and despair are common themes of modern discourse. When we outsource our sense of worth, identity and happiness to external entities - politics, materialism etc - we can end up constantly chasing a sense of contentment and peace that we'll never reach.
Kadam Adam Starr is a Kadampa Buddhist Meditation teacher, and he returns today to explore what it is to be really and truly happy.
We discuss the differences between True Happiness and Worldly Happiness, practical strategies to create time and space to uncover what you actually value, managing real world distractions and 'busyness' and much more.
Many of us sabotage our own success. We allow our thoughts and emotions to dictate our actions and lives, and often times this holds us back from achieving our true potential.
Business, sport, relationships, performance, if we are able to allow ourselves to believe and really lean in, we are capable of so much more.
Brian O'Loughlin returns to explore how this can impact us as humans, and discusses tools and strategies we can use to get out of our own way.

Many of us stop playing as we get older. We become so consumed with the business of life that we no longer create time to have fun.
We may have distractions or activities we do that we say are fun, but Brian O'Loughlin joins me in this episode to explore what play and fun really mean, and how creating time for this in our lives can have positive outcomes for our health, relationships and sense of self.

Dr.Ríoghnach O'Leary is a forensic psychologist who works largely with male offenders who have committed violent or sexual crimes.
Her work gives Ríoghnach a unique look into the minds and behaviours of people who have done things that most consider terrible and inconceivable.
However the truth is that the capacity for both great and terrible acts lives within each of us, and in this conversation we explore the reasons why we become the people we are, and the factors that influence our behaviours, addictions and world views.
We cover the power of environment, the impact of trauma, parenting, crime, the differences between psychology and psychiatry, societal and cultural influences and much more.
A fascinating conversation.
