He's back! Coach, author, podcast host and veteran, George Bryant rejoins on me this incredibly honest and raw episode. We touch on his life story, but also how he has hardened and retooled his mindset to find happiness.
We discuss life lessons, being parents, negative self talk and finding gratitude in a life of chaos.
George is a super successful and happy entrepreneur, but his life was most certainly not always that way. He was born in an abusive household where his mother was addicted to cocaine. George was also sexually abused and raped by two women as a teenager which led to his struggle with bulimia.
George swung the pendulum the opposite way by joining the Marines for 13 years, where he pushed his body to the limits, nearly losing his legs to compartment syndrome. After being told he wouldn't run again, he ran a triathlon and tied the world record for the highest box jump in Afghanistan.
After losing numerous friends to suicide and suffering PTSD, George found relief after visiting Costa Rica and trying ayahuasca. After that experience, he started to rebuild his life, writing and photographing for NYT Best Selling cookbook and becoming an entrepreneur. He started to work with some of the brightest minds in the world and has helped coached others tap into their potential, but personally and with their businesses.
George is also a loving dad, which he describes as the day that truly changed his life forever, and the first time he's ever felt what love really was.
