There may be many reasons that you have fear of commitment, not least your attachment style, your beliefs about relationships and your relationship with yourself. If you are scared of commitment, John is here to detail how you can identify the nature of your fear and also, possibly, its source.

• You may have commitment phobia if you prefer to keep your relationships on a superficial or casual level
• An insecure attachment style called ‘dismissive avoidant’ or ‘fear avoidance’ may be a sign of a problem. 
• You may find it difficult to consider or discuss the future of a relationship. To overcome this, small steps are required so as not to trigger you to flee the situation.
• Fault finding and constant doubts can also be a pointer to this problem. Usually, the faults and doubts reach a little, being picky and inconsequential, so concentrating on your partners’ strengths can circumvent this.

‘Even just giving myself that three weeks to totally focus on my own stuff and not constantly spend every minute of my day worrying about what that other person was doing or what was going on with us. Bringing the focus back to me for that allotted period of time was tremendous.’ – Emmi

It’s that time of year in the Northern Hemisphere where the nights are closing in, the temperatures dropping and we are all wrapping up and bedding in for the winter. Cuffing Season is this time of year when people get together so they don’t have to spend the cold nights alone.  John asks you to consider a few things before embarking on or ending such a relationship.

John and Cathlyn discuss the TEDx forum and how Cathlyn helps her clients access it effectively, preparation and nerves, theatre performance, introversion and social anxiety and the importance of cultivating business relationships.

• Originally using YouTube as a way to escape from her career in Pharmaceuticals, Jenn has become an expert in presentation and the technical side of YouTube and is now applying it to her own business clients.

Gaslighting is a term that has become more commonplace in the media and in general conversation about relationships and is often overused or misused to describe manipulative or controlling behaviour. Gaslighting is an insidious and coercive type of manipulation usually from one person to another. However, there is a self destructive behaviour that we can practice on ourselves utilising the voice in our head to belittle and manipulate that can result in and be described as Self Gaslighting.

• You can criticise and doubt yourself so much that you can make yourself dismiss your own emotions and question your own reality. You may even tell yourself to take the blame for any issue regardless of where the real responsibility lies.
• These behaviours follow two categories, minimisation and self-invalidation.

• Change your relational pattern of those that you invite into your life and spend less time with the people that trigger you and who are responsible for these issues in the first place.

John interviews Cherri Forsyth, who helps CEO's, business owners and businesses to uplift their company's Emotional Intelligence for stronger people at home and work, increasing their profit. Cherri specialises in Personal Coaching as well as corporate, as well as Grief Counselling, helping her clients to develop emotional resilience and mentoring and supporting other life coaches.
