There’s no guarantee that tomorrow will happen.

I’m not being morbid, just realistic. It’s always possible that one of us is living our final day. I sure hope not, and it’s something that worries me a bit. In today’s episode, I talk about aging, the signs I see frequently, and what I tell myself to deal with it.

My outing today with Libby the Mooch made me think of this topic. Sometimes I worry about it, other times, I feel gratitude for each day. I hope this one makes you think and feel better about living versus dying. Thank you for lending me your ears, as always. You are valued and appreciated.

Holy shit, it’s been a day. But happy Friday to you all. We’ve made it to the weekend! Some of us, by the skin of our teeth, myself included. My mental health seems to be taking a hit lately. And it’s because of these dipshits in the photo above.

The Stupids are taking over our country.

I try not to let dirt clods like these bother me the way they do. But when they show up constantly in the news and online, it can take its toll on my mental health. Especially when I feel obligated to write about them daily. I know that’s why my subscribers show up. To feel the anger, the disdain, and sometimes the hatred of the lack of morals and the stupidity of MAGA.

We’re going to fight through this together. I’m not giving up. I’m going to go off and vocalize my frustration, sadness, and anger in my articles and these podcasts. You are not alone, I feel this shit, too. Thank you for being so encouraging in the comments and with your subscriptions.

Well, that was sure interesting.

Don’t like that? Tough shit. Sometimes the way we speak up is important.

I get vocal at times about the state of our nation. Especially when I see the abuses happening by Trump and Elon that MAGA seems comfortable ignoring, even though it harms their well-being and loved ones.

You should never put two classless slob billionaires’ best interests ahead of your families. In this episode, I talk about reaching a big milestone on Substack, and how it would look if all of my 25,000 subscribers came to an event where I read one of my political articles.

S2E53: The Renegade Writer’s Mouthy Musings

Hey, Happy Saturday to you all. I hope you’re doing well and feeling wonderful. I’m having a rollercoaster mental health day, today. I feel pretty shitty at the moment.

Things started decently. Coffee, Mooch, checking my Substack stuff. Reading comments on my articles, smiling at some funny ones. That part of the day always goes well.

But I knew that I was going to write about the Zelensky/Trump confrontation at some point. I’d posted several memes about it yesterday and they took off like wildfire. When something big happens in American politics, I generally write an article about it.

I don’t get joy from reporting the fuckery of Traitor Trump. It brings me down, in fact.

But I got it done. The article is up. And with it, came the comments. Ditto on social media. A lot of people are suddenly political experts and have strong, differing opinions on the topic. Most are being dicks toward each other.

It gets old. I realize that the less time I spend in front of screens, the happier I seem to be. But screens are a necessary evil in my line of work. Especially when I’m trying to build a following. I love what I do, but the topics I cover bring me down. I’ll tell you all about it in today’s podcast episode.

Thanks for listening, it helps me to verbalize my feelings and vent a bit. I appreciate you all being a metaphorical shoulder to cry on when necessary.

Its-a-me, Libby the Mooch! I’m gonna take a stab at this podcast thing that the Big Fella seems to enjoy so much. He’s tired today and looked like he needed a break.

I’m not one to insult my Paw-Paw, but he looked like hammered crap.

So I figured I’d fill in for him. He wrote his two articles like a goodfella does, so I gave him the afternoon off. Here’s a little backstory about my history, how I came into the family, and what our routine is like. Spoken in my inner dialogue, the voice I imagine being my own.
