Moving abroad is a big deal! Many times we do it for better opportunities, for education, for our careers, for love, for our children, or for a different life experience. Sometimes being financially prepared is an afterthought in the migration journey, but it shouldn't be. In this episode, I share 7 things to do to prepare your finances as you move abroad. These include:
1. Having a timeline
2. Saving for the move (how much should you save)
3. Taking care of your finances/investments in your home country
4. Looking into your taxes
5. Knowing your work options once you move, and so much more.
Moving abroad has been a life-changing experience for me, and I'm a better person for it. The truth is, I have also had some tough seasons. Now, I'm committed to sharing my lessons and our collective stories to make your experience so much better.
