It you've ever wondered what it would be like to perform under the lights on a Broadway Stage, this is the episode for you. What does it feel like when the the curtain opens, and it's time. In Today's episode I have a conversation with the incredible and inspiring, Katie Diamond. Katie has written, produced, and starred in numerous musical and cabaret shows in her 20-year career, most notably as Lorraine in Jersey Boys on Broadway. Raised in Seattle, Diamond attended the New England Conservatory of Music, eventually making her way to New York City.
As we begin our journey in life after 40, 50 and beyond it's easy to allow our fears to set in and put our dreams on hold. As you hear Katie's story, she continues to use her gifts in musical theater to leave an imprint on the community, and share her passion with others. It's never too late and you're never too old. I encourage you to make your way an hour north of NYC when you travel this way, and check out ACT, A Contemporary Theater of Connecticut, where Katie is the the Co-Founder and Executive Producer. If you've ever wanted to take voice lessons, join a choir, or help with set design keep following your dreams, push their fears aside and kick the age stigma to the curb.

In this episode I have a heartfelt and honest discussion with Vickie Night. I have followed her journey since the unexpected happened. During this holiday season please have it on your heart to open your circle to those that may need a little special care this time of year. It's easy to become I-centric and focused on our own to do lists and forget about those who may be struggling this time of year. I encourage you to open your heart and listen to this inspiring story from the voice of a mom who strives to do her very best every day. And if any of this message resonates with you, I have attached the website for you to follow John Michael's story.
On December 14, 2015, John Michael Night left for school as usual not knowing that within the hour his life would be forever changed. Just a few weeks prior he had just signed his National Letter of Intent to play D1 lacrosse for Mercer University. But at the age of 17, John Michael suffered a massive brainstem stroke that left him locked-in.
This condition known as Locked-In Syndrome (LIS), leaves its victims fully aware and cognizant, but unable to move or communicate. He was only able to move his eyes up and down for the first month. Thanks to the generosity of our friends and community, he has, through much intensive therapy, regained movement, had the feeding tube removed, drinks from a straw and his speech is slowly returning.

The things that make me different make me, me.
This interview will leave an imprint on your heart and / or inspire you to action. Maybe this story is similar to your own, or you can think of someone that has lived their life with autism. Think about navigating your life...being different. Being unique and not completely understood. Maybe you are a parent of a child, or have an adult child with autism and have experienced this journey. Maybe you have a friend or family member that has autism. I always talk about opening your circles...becoming horseshoes, and allowing yourself to step outside your comfort zone and put fear and uncertainty aside. As an adult, living with Asperger's, Alex Fischetti, has done just that, and does it everyday. Hear his voice, his inspiring story of challenge, some difficult moments, but in the middle of it all lies opportunity.

Think about this for a minute. You've been in a career for over 20 years. You are well respected, and have a great reputation within the industry and you enjoy what you're doing. One day, you get the news that you are not needed in the role anymore. You are 50 years old. In this episode you will meet an inspiring, and enthusiastic woman, that had to chart a new course. Working her whole life, while raising her family, didn't allow her to make 'her time' a priority. It was at this time, when change was unexpected, allowed her to recalibrate and find out her true passion.
This episode will dig into:
What it's like to find out you are no longer needed in your role at 50 years old
Why it is so important to take time and make your time a priority when something unexpected happens and makes you change course.
What custom- tailored corporate wellness looks like and how Kristen forged ahead launching her company in her 50's.
Discussing why it's important to take the risk. If not now, when?
Kristin Markey: Founder

Have you had a moment when you're searching for your glasses and they're on top of your head? Have you had a word on the tip of your tongue and you can't say it? Are your AC bills higher because you're always hot? Did you gain 5 lbs and you swear you haven't been eating donuts everyday? Did you know there are 70 million of us that are 45 and over? And guess what, that's the average age when menopause begins. We have tiptoed around this "M" words for years...calling it, 'The Change', 'A new season'. Let's call a spade, a spade. It's menopause, baby and we not only get better with age...but our beauty gets better with age, too.
This episode I chat with Rochelle Weitzner, Founder and CEO of Pause Well-Aging. You will hear from this amazing leader, how her personal story, along with her extensive knowledge in the industry, brought her to the realization that there is nothing in the market for women over 40. Menopause shouldn't be taboo or something you go through alone. Life doesn't stop at menopause. As a matter of fact, it's just beginning.
