  • Friday Faith Foundations - The influence of intuition on entrepreneurship
Follow your gut! In other words, follow your intuition if you want to grow your business! What is the influence of intuition on entrepreneurship? Before we can answer that question, we need to define intuition. Mirriam-Webster defines it as the power of knowing immediately and without conscious reasoning. And now I ask, is that it? Or is there more to intuition? I personally believe that intuition is a gift from God and it is not something we have on our own. Is intuition a gift from God? Do you believe Jesus has called you to a purpose, to create a business to serve others? What about being successful and making money? Do you believe He wants that for you? I mean really believe with all your heart. You may think your business and your beliefs are separate, but your faith and beliefs do influence your business and the decisions you make. Another question, do you believe that Jesus sent a helper? Someone to live inside you and teach you, guide you, and remind you of all Jesus taught while on earth? He did! And that intuition you feel - is that helper - that counselor - the Holy Spirit - the supernatural authority that helps you discern and make decisions when you ask Him to. If you believe in Christ as your savior, you have the Holy Spirit living inside of you. Maybe you are new to faith or you haven't been taught much about the power of the Holy Spirit, then this may sound crazy. But this concept is biblically sound. The influence of intuition on entrepreneurship In a March 2022 Forbes article, Jazz Gill wrote about the influence of intuition on entrepreneurship. He shared this thought in the article: The true spirit of entrepreneurship is about intuition. It's about creating and seizing opportunities, making the impossible possible. It's about building strong relationships and networks to expand and execute on those opportunities. I agree with Jazz Gill on this thought. But we may vary on the source of intuition and the true power it has on our entrepreneurial journies. The opportunities we create and seize are going to be much more impactful and profitable if we think of intuition as guidance from the Holy Spirit. How? Why? Because when we depend on the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we will be able to discern what is right for us, and we will stay aligned with our values, callings, and the purpose God has called us to. In addition, we'll be more likely to set pride aside and humbly follow God's will for us. The more aligned with God's purpose, the more successful we will be. • The strategies you need to write content for SEO
If you want to be discovered by your soulmate clients, you must have a content strategy. Content is the king and the most important part of your SEO strategy. When you write content for SEO, you increase your chances of being found on Google and attracting your soulmate clients. What you need to consider to write content for SEO that connects with your ideal clients The first thing to consider when you sit down to write content for SEO on your website is differentiation. When you differentiate yourself through stories you will stand out as an expert and authority in your niche. In addition, you will build an emotional connection with your audience and they will trust you faster. What stories can you share? First, share the story of the journey that led you to where you are today. What experiences, challenges, highs, and lows have you experienced that have given you the expertise you now have? Share your challenges and how you overcame them to get to where you are today. This will help your audience see that you can help them, that you truly understand their pain points, and will be able to help them overcome their challenges to reach their goals. You can also share stories on how you felt God calling you to try something new, to start your business, and serve new people in a new way. Tell stories about your experiences of working with clients. Likewise, share testimonials from clients so that your audience can see and understand how you are helping others. This will help your audience understand the quality of service or product that you offer, and that you help your clients get results. It will also indicate how you get results for your clients. All important factors for someone to decide to work with you. When we talk about sharing stories in your content, don't fear being vulnerable. The level of vulnerability is up to you. But you do want to demonstrate that you've had a myriad of experiences. Marketing is communicating When you think about how you want to write content for SEO, remember that marketing is communication. You build your personal brand and then you communicate what makes you unique. Your marketing strategy should include SEO so that people can find you and learn more about you and what makes you unique. As you think about the stories you want to tell in your content, always refer to what differentiates you. For the sake of SEO, the things that differentiate you become part of your keyword and keyphrase strategy on your website. Knowing without a doubt who your soulmate clients are will also help you fine-tune your keyword and keyphrase list so that they will know you are talking directly to them. • Entrepreneurs, you need to adopt these time management strategies with Holly Marie Haynes
Time management strategies are key to entrepreneurial success. Discipline and consistency trump talent when trying to grow a business. When you adopt these time management strategies, you will work less and achieve more. Who doesn't want that when trying to grow a business Time management strategies that work to build your business in 8 to 10 hours a week Eight hours a week equates to 416 hours a year. That is a lot of time to accomplish what you want to do. Set very specific business hours to work on your business. This needs to be non-negotiable. Holly used 6 to 7:30 each morning to work on her business. You can accomplish a lot in a short amount of time, but if you need more time, choose a longer block of time for a strategy session, for example, 6 to 8 on Saturday morning. Set business hours but also incorporate strategic time to focus on the bigger picture. Take at least two hours a week and map out what's working, what's not working, and what you are going to change to reach your goals. In addition, use 1 hour a week on Sunday, to plan for the week ahead. When you have little time, create theme days so that you can focus your time and accomplish the most possible. For example, every Monday is the day for creating content, and every Wednesday is the time for podcasting. You can also have a specific day for client calls. To build your business in under 10 hours a week adopt these time management strategies: set business hours, have a weekly strategy session, have a planning session, and establish theme days. • Another reason not to be on social media - the need to avoid comparison
Comparison can be a detriment to your business growth and your personal life. When you're consumed with what other people think of you, you can get stuck in a state of comparison. Comparison will result in procrastination. The question is, how can you avoid comparison and not allow what other people think to hold you back from growing your business? There are a few problems with comparison: When you compare yourself and then start doing or saying things that someone else does or says, you lose your authenticity. When you lose your authenticity, you won't stand out. And you may fall into the sameness pool and your soulmate clients won't recognize why they should hire you. The comparison may hold you back and you will procrastinate or stay stuck. You may lack belief or have an increase in doubt and fear because you see someone else doing what you do or appearing to be successful. Remember, there are billions of people in the world and enough work to go around – especially when focusing on your unique gifts and abilities. Or, the opposite, you will see yourself as better and become prideful, which is never a good thing. It is always better to be humble. First, because the Bible says so. Secondly, you are more apt to make mistakes and be inauthentic when being prideful. Romans 12:3 tells us "Don't think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us." This was an opener for me. Imposter syndrome often results from comparison. If you feel imposter syndrome, focus on Ephesians 2:10: For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. In other words, you are a masterpiece with unique gifts. Don't let comparison or imposter syndrome, or the world distract you from being who you are called to be. Let God lead you and give you the strength and wisdom you need. If you feel you lack any of those things, ask Him for them. He has a plan for you and He will equip you. • You need these three things to get results
Are you curious about how successful entrepreneurs get results? There are three things that entrepreneurs need to get results and achieve success. If you want to get results, you must be willing to do what it takes to get them, and sometimes that means stepping outside the box. To get results, you must: Have a positive mindset and belief that your desired results are possible- no excuses. Create a strategy - step by step - to get the results you desire. Take intentional effective action - determined by your strategy. Let's break them down. But first, this method to help you get results is based on Purpose to Results™. How to get results using Purpose to Results™ is broken down like this: Mindset – Situational Mind Modeling – for clarity, confidence, and connection with purpose and impact Strategy – Simplified Sustainable Strategy – long-term strategies embodying SEO, systems, and processes for success. Action – The Accountability Framework – to ensure consistent execution. What does it mean to have a positive mindset? If you want to get results, you have to believe your goals and dreams are possible, and that God has a purpose for you and will equip you to fulfill your calling. The beliefs you have will influence your thoughts. Your thoughts will invoke your emotions. Emotions trigger feelings. Your thoughts and emotions will determine your behavior choices - whether you take intentional action or sit around and hope for something to happen for you. Thinking things like what if... it doesn't work no one hires me I'm not good enough they're already doing this I don't have time she's better than me I can't afford it it's not perfect yet I'm too old to start something new This list could go on and on. Your thoughts produce your results. If you are focusing on what if or negative thoughts because you don't believe something is possible, you will most likely not be able to focus on creating a strategy. When struggling with a "what if" doubtful thought, catch it and challenge it. If it is not rational or realistic, change it. The more you practice this, the better your thoughts will be and the better results you will achieve. But, recognize you are human. And as humans, we very quickly fall back into negative thought patterns because of previous experiences, traumas, or outcomes. A great scripture to reference and meditate on when you find yourself experiencing a negative thought pattern is Romans 12:2: Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will. Likewise, if comparison is resulting in doubt, which can often happen if you are spending time consuming content instead of making decisions and taking action, another scripture verse to meditate on is Galatians 6:4: Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else. Strategy is the next important part of the equation if you want to get results Another important step to take to get the results you desire is to create strategies. When you have a strategy in place to market your brand, to have systems and processes, to create and repurpose content, to be present for your audience and potential clients, and genuinely represent yourself, you will be more likely to get the results you crave. A brand marketing strategy begins with your personal brand. What makes you unique? How do you want others to perceive you? Your brand marketing strategy will differentiate you from all others in your area of expertise. Creating a personal brand and differentiating yourself using your brand marketing strategy will help you get positive results. How? Your audience will see that you are the one who has the solution for them, that you align with their values, that what you offer is exactly what they need and only you will provide the solution the way you do. Your brand marketing strategy also includes your systems and processes. Systems and processes including onboarding and off-boarding processes, reflect your personal brand and help with customer service, client retention, and future referrals. In addition, you need an SEO strategy, PR strategy, Email Marketing strategy, sales strategy, offer and pricing strategy, hiring and delegation strategy, mindset strategy, social media strategy, if using it, Pinterest and LinkedIn, and so on. The strategies you need are specific to your business. But, there is no question that strategy is necessary if you are going to have a solid foundation for long-term success. • Tired of anxiety causing you to react negatively? Try these strategies. - with Amber Trublood
If anxiety has a grip on you, you may feel flustered and frustrated. Learn your anxiety style and start managing it effectively. When you recognize your anxiety style, you'll understand yourself and your reactions better. In addition, you'll be able to implement transformative strategies and improve relationships. Go from flustered to flourishing Are you ready to go from flustered to flourishing? Whether you've had anxiety in your life or you know someone who has, there are certain styles of anxiety that result in how people react to, and experience, anxiety. Likewise, there are certain strategies that you can practice at the moment and apply to your daily life to better navigate anxiety. By applying the strategies, you can avoid spiraling out of control, damaging relationships, or hurting other people as a result of your anxiety building. Much of the work Amber Trublood does is about helping you understand your motivational style and your super sense. What visceral sense are you most attuned to. When you understand that, you can better match your strategies for navigating anxiety and life in general. What is your anxiety style, what really drives you and your reactions? Ask yourself, what reactions aren't serving you, for example, when anxiety is building, and what do you feel when you are flourishing? Much like having two sides of a coin, you have an anxiety style and superhero traits. Different anxiety styles for different people You are attuned to different things in a different way than somebody with a different anxiety style. Where can you celebrate those differences and your uniqueness? Let's acknowledge and celebrate the amazing things about you. For example, if you are good at being tuned into the present moment, celebrate your ability to do so. Because not everyone can do it. Or, another example, some people are super tuned into the needs of others, or super focused on planning and organizing and can collect a lot of details in their heads. Note what skills and abilities you have that maybe other people don't have and celebrate those. Maybe through this process, you can elicit a little bit more compassion. Not only have compassion for other people in your life who maybe aren't skilled in those ways but have more compassion for yourself. Amber believes that when you spend a lot of time in self-judgment and shame and being unkind to yourself, it's a waste of your time. Understanding your specific anxiety style and what may be contributed to that, can help you elicit some self-kindness. The 5 Anxiety Styles Lover Fighter Executive Visionary Dynamo The five styles of anxiety are based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Four of the styles directly correlate with the needs. Maslow's hierarchy of needs is fundamental needs we have as humans. Everyone has different needs and experiences life and triggers differently. Even siblings have different responses to how they were raised or the experiences surrounding their needs being met. One sibling may be more deeply and profoundly influenced by experiences than another sibling. Similarly, everyone is their own person. Therefore, you're the best judge of your own self-care and what's going to work for you. And often, you know, more about yourself and your needs than you give yourself credit for. Recognizing your anxiety style and implementing strategies to navigate it Once you recognize your anxiety style, implement one strategy at a time to manage it and build from there. Also, know that you may have one primary anxiety style and a secondary style. Understanding the five anxiety styles will help you feel more connected and compassionate toward others.
