Episode 29 of the pod and boy, oh boy was this just wisdom bomb after wisdom bomb! So many nuggets of wisdom from the man himself Jason Hardrath.
A bit of housekeeping, I did have some audio issues within and after this episode so please bare with me as the audio may be a little bit off.
Jason is a serial adventure, endurance athlete and teacher. In 2015 Jason was ejected from his car and suffered 9 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a shattered shoulder and contusions throughout his internal organs and his right knee was damaged. The crash tore the anterior cruciate ligament, known as the ACL, which keeps the knee from sliding forward and back, and the lateral collateral ligament, known as the LCL, which keeps the knee from sliding inward.
This would have ended anyone's sporting career but not Jason's. Throughout our conversation, you will hear him talk the talk but also walk the walk. From completing 119 FKT's, a number of endurance runs and climbing up Washington's highest peaks in 50days he paves the way for what is truly possible after such a traumatic event. I learnt a lot from this man and a lot of what he said landed true and close to my heart.
