Every 12 years, our skeletons undergo a complete transformation.
Prof. Tim Spector and Prof. Cyrus Cooper discuss how to avoid Osteoporosis, a condition where bones become fragile, significantly increases the risk of fractures from minor incidents, often without any noticeable symptoms. Worldwide, it affects one in three women and one in five men over fifty, leading to pain, potential disability and loss of independence.
In today’s episode, Jonathan, Tim and Cyrus ask the question: How can understanding osteoporosis and implementing targeted lifestyle changes enhance bone health and reduce the risk of fractures?
Cyrus Cooper is a Professor of Rheumatology at the University of Southampton, where he is also the Director of the MRC Lifecourse Epidemiology Unit and Vice-Dean of Medicine. In addition, he’s a Professor of Musculoskeletal Science at the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences at the University of Oxford.
Tim Spector is one of the world’s top 100 most-cited scientists, a professor of epidemiology, and scientific Co-Founder at ZOE. Tim trained originally in rheumatology and epidemiology.

Introducing First Look At Trump's Second Term from Pod Save America.
Follow the show: Pod Save America
Trump begins staffing top roles in his second administration with loyalists and sycophants—and demands that the senators running for majority leader agree to embrace a process that would allow him to appoint whoever he wants without Senate confirmation. Jon, Lovett, and Tommy discuss whether Trump's opening moves are as chilling as we thought they'd be, what we do and don't know about his second-term plans, and how he might pursue revenge on his opponents. Then, Tommy speaks with New York Congressman Pat Ryan, who hung on in a tough district, about the lessons the Democratic Party needs to learn in order to win.

In this episode, I had the pleasure of hosting Juliet Harris, a renowned Hollywood PR manager known for her work with stars like Lady Gaga and Britney Spears, and most notably, Rachel Leviss from "Vanderpump Rules." Juliet shared insights into her work with Rachel, including is Rachel returning to VPR S12? We delved into the "Scandaval" affair, discussing the public's harsh reaction and Juliet's belief that the show's producers may have manipulated the situation for ratings. Additionally, we explored the ongoing "Reality Reckoning" movement, is it still happening and how Tom Sandoval lied about an update with the revenge porn case.

Fermentation is a hot craze in fancy restaurants around the world. And fermented foods, like kombucha and kimchi, are even sold in corner stores.

This episode will show you why it's not only safe but beneficial to eat fermented foods, and that fermenting foods is something you can try at home.
Jonathan speaks to Tim Spector and Sandor Katz — whom the food magazine CHOW calls a provocateur, trendsetter, and rabble-rouser — to better understand the fabulous world of fermentation.

It’s a S19 Epi 9 recap of Sister Wives! SPOILER ALERT. I dive into the latest Sister Wives drama from Season 19, Episode 9, "Baptism by Fire." The episode kicks off with Kody's futile snow plowing, leading to juicier moments like his bizarre implication that David Woolley was eyeing Robyn at Gwen and Bea's bridal shower. Christine shocks everyone with a new tattoo symbolizing new beginnings, while Meri and Janelle's awkward meetup reveals financial tensions over Coyote Pass. Christine and David's whirlwind house hunting feels rushed, and Gwen's engagement party is full of tension, especially when Kody and Robyn show up. The episode ends with an emotional yet awkward embrace between Christine and Meri, setting the stage for more drama next week as Christine and David get engaged.
