Mike Myers starred in the horror-comedy So I Married An Axe Murderer only a year after the smash hit Wayne's World was released. The film, about a man afraid of commitment who marries a woman suspected of murdering her past loves, should have been a classic. Instead, it did poorly at the box office and ended up as a cult classic. The Hitchcock-inspired flick originally starred Sharon Stone alongside Woody Allen. When SNL's Myers signed on, he took the liberty to add more gags, prosthetics, and accents which seemingly dissolve into a warm-up for Myers' Austin Powers characters developed soon after.
