Episode Summary:
In today's episode, we talk about our new identity in Christ.
The Lord desires our growth and His Word expects our growth. We can grow and we can move closer to the Lord each day. He has provided everything we need to do so.
To grow in the Lord will take us being intentional about our growth though. Growth in the Lord will not simply happen without us making the effort to do so. It is my prayer that we each would be encouraged to grow in Him.

Summary:
We often tend to arrange our lives in compartments or boxes. Are we doing this with our faith? If we are going to be intentional about our growth in the Lord, it takes our whole life and not just a part of our life.
Next Steps:
1. Identify the different compartments that make up our lives
2. Ask ourselves, “Is Christ and our faith represented in our whole life or just a part of our lives?”
3. If so, work on unpacking our “Christianity Box” so that it moves into all the other areas of our life

1 John 2:3-6 - Continuing in a discussion of 1 John, today we talk about the commitment we as Christians are to have in the relationship we share with Christ.
"Being clothed with Christ (see Gal. 3: 27), I can abide with Him walking in the light, in fellowship with God, and in keeping His commands. This is to be the character of our lives as Christians."

Summary:
It is difficult to describe the relationship we are given in Christ. It is difficult to understand His grace, mercy, and forgiveness. John provides for us an understanding of who God is. He is light. In doing so, he describes an amazing relationship we share in as those who are called out of darkness. In our lives, we are to strive daily to walk in the light. To walk according to His truth, purity, and holiness. As we do so, we cannot forget that it is through His grace that we stand and because of His sacrifice that we are made partakers of the light.
