The Skeleton Boys

Orphaned 8 year old! A robotic engineer! Model 3 Generation Android! This week the boys meet a robot doll named M3GAN!!

The story of M3GAN is not a new concept but blends the horror genre with campy comedy. It's earnest and ridiculous but is this murderous doll movie too tame? Plus, in TV CORNER we talk about episode 10 of YELLOWJACKETS and give overall thoughts on season 1!!! And so much more!

Veterinary School! Vegetarian! Human Flesh! This week the boys go back to school but end up craving anything RAW!!

People were repulsed and physically ill after seeing RAW. Julia Duccournau is no extremest, if anything she's a humanist. But is this a potent cannibal awakening story or just overhyped?

Gentrified Chicago! Neighborhood legend! An anxious artist! This week the boys, say his name five time...CANDYMAN!!

The lore of Candyman is messy at best, so a sequel to the original movie in the trilogy, is a nice refresh. It invokes its political commentary and slasher roots but does it entertain or just a forced social statement.

Lego blocks! A father missing! Two children home alone! This week the boys look at ceilings, baseboards, and dimly lit rooms, all while humming SKINAMARINK!!

A film that is unsettled and recreates that feeling of waking up in the middle of the night. Experimental in it's craftsmanship but are too many tricks used to evoke feeling?

Hippie cult! Demon-bikers! Vengeance! This week the boys are joined by Justin Wilmott and together they walk a secluded forest and run into a girl named MANDY!!

Mandy is a 2018 horror action movie co-written and directed by Panos Cosmatos. A fever dream and nightmare of images. It's beautifully shot and can be shockingly brutal. But is it too indulgent or its uniqueness stays with you?

Routine check up! Stranded woman! Maniac killer! This week the boys enter the hospital from hell!!! As they celebrate Valentine's Day by getting a X-RAY!!

X-RAY is a low rent 80s slasher with slick cinematography and a good score. Everything else should be witnessed. Please don't read any more and go watch the movie!

A courtship! Long-lost cousin! Twisted family secret! This week the boys, play oblivious Americans as they obtain THE INVITATION!!

Gothic horror romance is made less and less, it's mostly now littered with euro trash renditions of vampires. The Invitation tries to blend both with a story that makes some sense. Mainstream horror is a whole vibe now. I have a hard time tuning in with studio horror today. But do accept or decline the invite?

A remote Island! A young couple! Exclusive restaurant! This week the boys challenge their demanding palate when they sample THE MENU!!

The Menu has something fresh and interesting to say about art and artist. The story has many things to say about, how we consume, pursue, and obsess. Is this a satisfying narrative or all hype?
