The Skeleton Boys

Catholic priest! Black Metal fan! An occultist! All bent on committing as many sins as possible! Once again, the boys have to save the world and face THE DAY OF THE BEAST!!

On rare occasions, a movie appears to mix many elements to its story. black comedy, action and horror. THE DAY OF BEAST, can be viewed as cynical piece of entertainment but pushes all the genres forward. Is this a perfect combination of Horror and Comedy or unclear mess?

Plus, in TV Corner we start the series YELLOWJACKETS!!  And so much more!!

The American Dream! Immigrant nanny! Concealed truth! This week, the boys need someone to take care of their Upper East Side kids and hire a NANNY!!

Viewers may be surprised to find less slasher thrills and spectacular supernatural horror. It's more subdued and self aware horror that tries to avoid obvious tropes. A movie that is self-assured and unflinching but is it more disappointing or confused?

Plus, in TV Corner, we check out episode 8 of  Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities and give our overall thoughts on the series! And so much more!!

Hurricane party! Rich 20-somethings! Games turn deadly!!! This week the boys meet up with their favorite fake friends and play, BODIES BODIES BODIES!!!

Bodies Bodies Bodies pokes fun of Gen Z with some good satirical elements. The "who done it" aspects are raveled together pretty neatly. Halina Reijn's direction is comprehensible and keeps the tension going once the bodies start dropping. But is it a blast or less clever than it thinks?

A perfect Christmas Dinner! Environmental catastrophe! Suicide pill! This year the boys celebrate the holidays by checking out, SILENT NIGHT!!

Christmas apocalypse. Love (death) Actually. There's many ways to describe SILENT NIGHT. it's a dark comedy with a anti Hallmark movie but is it a Christmas movie for the ages or just a premise that goes nowhere?

Horror-movie marathon! College students! A master of disguise! The boys take of their biggest threat yet...POPCORN!!

A true slasher that combines goofy comedy and nostalgia drive-in vibes. POPCORN, is a cult movie of the 90's that is very tongue-in-cheek but still plays out like an 80's slasher. POPCORN  has some great ideas but is it too uneven?

Rock and Roll band! Hypnotizing demons! Massive mullets! This week the boys, check out everyones favorite demonic band, BLACK ROSES!!

Great, bad horror could be a sub-genre by itself. The idea to mix horror movies and metal music seems inevitable. There is a lot of big hair in this movie and 80's pop heavy metal too. Is this devil music to worship or just satanic panic?

A disciplined and successful woman! An ugly past! A mysteries man! This week, the boys found out too much about a relationship in, RESURRECTION!!

The tone and pacing can be tense and slow but a story that will have multiple interpretations, that is underlined by Rebecca Hall's outstanding performance. A telling tell of trauma but does it have any lasting effect?
