The SportsGrid Fantasy Football Show

Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the show talking about Le'Veon Bell not returning to the Steelers' practice yesterday, and now will no long be eligible for the rest of the season; the guys question if Bell made the right move, and if this will hurt his free agency value in 2019\. The guys go on to predict where Bell will play in 2019, thinking the Texans could use the star running back to get them over the Super Bowl hump. The guys talk about the NFL relocating the Rams-Chiefs Monday night game from Mexico City to Los Angeles due to poor field conditions and talk about the impact of the decision, as it pertains to the Mexico City economy, as well as the betting lines.

Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the program talking about the Giants victory over the 49ers, and look at the fantasy values of Saquon Barkley and George Kittle, with the latter being praised as a top tight end in fantasy football. Scott and Dane talk about how teams are moving towards offensive minded scheming, and question if defense-first coaches like Todd Bowles are a thing of the past. The guys look at some big injuries around the league, including a torn ACL for Cooper Kupp, and a torn achilles for Dez Bryant, who only just signed with the Saints and got injured during practice.

Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the show looking back at Week 10, and give you advice if you lost a player like Cooper Kupp, who could be out for the rest of the season. Dez Bryant's achillies injury has the guys wondering if this will impact the status of Le'Veon Bell; Scott also give you advice for the playoffs, saying to cut fat like having Bell on your bench. The Patriots being dominated by the Titans has Dane wondering if Rob Gronkowski's injury issues have finally made an impact on the New England offense, but Scott says it's possible that the Patriots are just not getting it done as much as they normally do. Dane and Scott talk about how impressive the Saints' offense really is, with Dane going as far as saying Drew Brees needs to be in the MVP conversation.

Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the show looking at the dominant play of the Steelers, especially Ben Roethlisberger, as they put 52 points against the Panthers. The guys question the Steelers chances amongst the AFC's best, and also feel hopeful that James Conner, as Le'Veon Bell watched from not so far away, did not suffer a serious concussion in the game. Speaking of injuries, Dr. A of Inside Injuries joins the show to talk about the Redskins getting Jamison Crowder back at practice, as well getting updates on Rob Gronkowski and Conner.

The guys go over some of their rankings, including what to do if Josh McCown starts for the Jets, like throwing Robby Anderson in to your flex spot. Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the morning looking at what Dez Bryant will bring to the New Orleans Saints, who seem on the verge of getting a deal done. The guys look at some big name injuries, including Allen Robinson, who has missed the last two games with a groin injury. Looking at the Thursday night game, Dane finds some intriguing fantasy value in DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel, though Scott worries about Samuel's injury issues holding him back. The guys try to predict the total in the Jets-Bills game, saying Sam Darnold is too talented to have another dud like he did against the Dolphins, and cite the fact he will be getting Quincy Enunwa back in the lineup. Taking a peek at the new-look Cleveland Browns, Dane and Scott predict that Duke Johnson will be targeted more in the offense, while David Njoku will see a decline in fantasy value.

Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the show looking at the Titans' victory over the Cowboys, and how on a not-so-dynamic Tennessee offense, Dion Lewis is the best of a bad situation. The guys look at some free agents working out for teams, including Dez Bryant with the Saints, and Brandon Marshall working out with the Lions. Dane and Scott have been talking about the idea that Lamar Jackson will soon be starting in Baltimore, and the guys look at the Ravens' schedule to see if they will be in the mix for the playoffs with Joe Flacco, or when exactly they will turn to their rookie quarterback. Dane brings up how the Chargers could be getting some good fortune back in Joey Bosa and Hunter Henry, both coming back from season long injuries; Scott says it could be good for the Chargers, but may take time to clean off the rust on said Los Angeles studs. Looking at some early waiver wire adds for Week 10, the guys like Nick Mullens as a possible sneaky play against the Giants, and also like Elijah McGuire as a deep sleeper going against the Bills.

Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the show looking back the big statement win by the Saints over the Rams, thinking that this was the game the Rams needed to win to prove they are true Super Bowl contenders. Dane questions who is the best out of the 1-loss teams between the Saints, Rams, and Chiefs, and is noted that there is a 2-loss team that may still be better than all three, the New England Patriots. Talking about said Patriots, the guys question if Cordarelle Patterson has taken enough snaps at the running back position to be considered a running back on fantasy sites.

Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the first show of the month of November looking at some Week 9 lineup issues, with Scott and Dane questioning which Packer wide receiver to use between Geronimo Allison and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. The biggest lineup story of the week has been the Jameis or Ryan Fitzpatrick argument, with the guys saying right now, the Bucs trust Fitzpatrick more than Winston. Looking at some Week 9 rankings, Dane thinks the Chargers, and Melvin Gordon, have to make a statement this week against the Seahawks. The guys preview the Thursday night Bay Area battle between the Raiders and 49ers, and think even though both teams are at the bottom of the league totem polls, the 49ers look more like they are trying to win games.

Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the show with Scott telling Dane how he would eat his favorite Halloween candy, candy corn, by color. The guys look at the moves made at the trade deadline, and love the Eagles picking up Golden Tate, with the guys thinking Tate will be a great possession receiver. Another big name on the move, Demaryius Thomas, was sent to Houston, and the guys break down how this begins the rise of Cortland Sutton. Talking about the Rams trading for Dante Fowler, Scott brings up how important their upcoming game against the Saints will be for their Super Bowl aspirations.
