Wally Green came from a world that was not spinning out of control but was born in chaos. A child of the projects in Brooklyn New York and raised in a household filled with abuse and lack of comfort, Wally found a family in gangs and crime. While being trained for a life going down the wrong path, Wally never lost his humanity. At the lowest point in his life a pause led to a change that walked him into the most unlikely of saviors. His drive and ability to figure things, The sport of ping-pong fell on his door and ultimately saved a kid from going down the wrong road. Now his inspirational story is a map on pulling yourself up and finding passion. Passing his knowledge onto the next generation, while he takes what he learned on this rough road and shows that anything is possible.

Derek Tailer has spent the better part of his adult life making fans cheer by playing guitar as a professional at the highest level. Being a successful rockstar comes with its challenges but pales in comparison to his most rewarding career as a father. At the age of 23, Derek Jr. was born and the proud father got hired for the gig of a lifetime. Eventually it was discovered that Derek Jr. was going to have some challenges in life being diagnosed with cerebral palsy and autism leaving him non verbal. Derek took to this job like a true warrior and showed that he was the most qualified person that could be hired. Still holding onto his second job as a professional musician and rockstar in the band Overkill, Derek has shown his true gift in being a Dadstar.

In the studio today we speak with Todd Smith who has been a champion of special needs athletes using his son Jake as an example of the benefits of sports. You will never meet a more genuine person or loving father who realizes 18 years later that his son does not have special leads but super powers. Once a person becomes involved with special-needs athletes, the fulfillment and gifts given to them by these athletes is one of the greatest joys life can offer.

All the things we’ve done and all of those we’ve met all started on February 13, 2021 with the recording of episode nine, the suffering of PTSD with Mike Failace. Edgar “Butch” Sanchez has accomplished what every child who takes up a sport dreams of becoming, to make it to the height of your profession and be recognized for your accomplishments. Training world champions in boxing has been his passion since a young kid. Butch becomes invested in his fighters making them part of his family and carries on his infectious spirit by inspiring others in the neighborhood. Born in Chicago but being raised in Hoboken, the tight inner-city community has rallied around this gentle giant of a man. Joining us in the studio is Benny Love who has known Butch his entire life and can attest to his ability of motivation and inspiration. Butch is now onto the next phase of his life battling kidney disease but doing so with an incredibly positive attitude and advocating for organ donation and kidney disease awareness.

John Paulus was about to enter into a world that very few have ever experienced. Being of drafting age in the mid-60s, left John was vulnerable to being drafted into the military to go and fight in the Vietnam war. After John was eventually drafted, he chose to enlist in the Marines. The idealistic soldier experienced a trial by fire landing into Vietnam and stepping off the plane while live rounds are flying overhead. The horror, pain, and loss was experienced at a young age that left lasting memories. John made it through and returned to the United States to face a different type of war, against those who did not believe that the war or its soldiers deserve the place in the New World. This gripping and touching story will keep you captivated from beginning until the end.

Her mission and her willingness to help show how big her heart is and that is why she is a true living angel.
