PART 1

Bobby Crudele is a very magnetic and energetic personality who happens to be one of the best Law Enforcement Officers in North Jersey.  Outwardly he appeared to be the life of the party.  On the inside, Bobby was fighting a battle that he was losing slowly, the fight with the bottle.  After chasing Alcohol down a very dangerous path, Bobby surrendered and asked for help, something that is very difficult for all Police to reach out for and admit.  Once Bobby got the help he needed, a new lease on life began to surface.  He's still the life of the party, but realizes that he doesn't need the alcohol to be the true person that he always was.

We have been waiting a long time to get my best friend in the studio.  On this Episode of The Suffering Podcast we are sitting down with my son Patrick Donaldson to discuss the Suffering of Kids.  As adults, we are very quick to forget some of the difficulties and struggles that young people go through.  They are growing up in world that we cannot fathom.  Patrick is a bright, smart, and driven kid who has a great outlook on life.  His discipline is second to none.  Our children look to us as their model for their future behavior, how can we give them valuable advice if we forget what the world looks like through their eyes.

How can you build a house on a cracked foundation.  Katrina Wolf did it!  Katrina had to repair her foundation so that she can build a strong life for her children.  Her road has never been straight, being born addicted to crack, Katrina had to learn very quickly that she had to rely on herself.  Being independant is not without its dangers.  After being raped at the tender age of 12 by three men, Katrina had to learn, all by herself, how to rise from the ashes.  Her trauma has led her into multiple bad relationships with people, this was her normal. 
Katrina now has taken her Suffering and chosen to use her experiences to help others that may have come from her similar situation.  This is a riveting situation listening to how a damage can become strength.

The trauma that our first responders see on a daily basis can accumulate over time to a point were relief is necessary or the dam will break.  Daniel Jensen has stepped up to educate the first responder community on the benefits of medicinal cannabis use through his organization Code 3 Outreach.  Through his own personal history with PTS and as a first responder dedicated to a life of service, Daniel has driven the road that he now gives the map to follow.  After falling into the grips of legal prescription medication, Daniel has found that the natural medicinal benefits of cannabis have changed his life for the better relieving dependency and depression.  This education and gripping story just may change your outlook.

Derek Tailer has lived every persons dream who has ever picked up a guitar, to be a rock star.  Having played in the premier thrash metal band in the world Overkill, Derek has seen and done it all.  Traveling around the world playing rhythm guitar professionally for most of his adult life, the pursuit of happiness was found in his balance between his career and his family.  What your going to find out about Derek is that he is not just a Rock Star, but he's a Dad Star.  Derek's son, Derek Jr., was born with cerebral palsy and slight autism leaving him mostly non-verbal.  Never was there a better or more humble man than Derek who is a rock and roll god to adoring fans and a genuine hero to his son.  The balance that Derek exhibits in his life is truly inspiring being at the top of his game professionally while still being the best Dad to his true passion, his son.

John Alite has lived a storied life.  His education came on the streets provided by wiseguys matriculating into becoming a Mafia Hitman for none other than John Gotti, John has done and seen it all in the world known as La Cosa Nostra.  Aside from the myth and romantic idolization of the Mob culture, John has also seen the grim finish below the glossy veneer.  Spending approximately 18 years in prison causing a generous portion of his life to be spent in lock up, to the horrors that come in the wake of the aftermath of committing horrible acts of violence, John will attest that the movies do not depict the real damage that a life of crime can cause.  John is now writing the next chapter of his life by speaking to those who believe that a career in crime is glamorous and driving at risk youth in a different direction.  Doing his penance to right some wrongs, John has impacted lives with his message.  He has risen in the community to become an Angel with a Dirty Face.
