The Symbolic World

In the first public discussion I had with Jordan Peterson, we discuss art and the chaotic buffer which appears between categories. This was recorded a few weeks after the gender pronoun situation exploded around Jordan Peterson.

The patterns in stories appear as their underlying order and also as a mode of human consciousness. One can encounter the Divine Logos in ancient stories and how these culminate in the story of Christ. A text version of this talk can be found here: https://www.orthodoxartsjournal.org/divine-patterns-in-story-and-image/ This talk was given in Feb. 2017 at the Climacus Conference in Louisville Kentucky. http://www.climacusconference.org/

This is a talk looking at the differences between traditional and contemporary art as well as exploring the symbolic structures and purpose of traditional art. This talk was originally given at King's University College in London Ontario in 2015.

This was recorded at the Resurrection of Logos event in Toronto, March 2017 with Jordan Peterson. The entire discussion surrounded the possibility of the return of the notion of logos into the contemporary world. The other speakers were: 1- Fr. Theodore Paraskevopoulus, 3- Dr. Jordan B Peterson, 4 - Rev. Fr. Geoffrey Ready. This was originally posted in its entirety on the the youtube channel of Jordan B. Peterson. https://youtu.be/KVo5hq64B2M
