The Todd Herman Show

THE THESIS: There are a lot more people who have simply been conned than people who are simply evil.
A REMINDER FROM HISTORY BY WAY OF C.S. LEWIS’S FICTION: ““I live in the Managerial Age, in a world of "Admin." The greatest evil is not now done in those sordid "dens of crime" that Dickens loved to paint. It is not done even in concentration camps and labour camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the office of a thoroughly nasty business concern." - C.S. Lewis, The Screwtape Letters
THE SCRIPTURE:
Isaiah 5:20 - “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.”
Numbers 32:13 - “The Lord’s anger burned against Israel and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until the whole generation of those who had done evil in his sight was gone.”
Psalm 92:5-7 -
5 How great are your works, Lord,
    how profound your thoughts!
6 Senseless people do not know,
    fools do not understand,
7 that though the wicked spring up like grass
    and all evildoers flourish,
    they will be destroyed forever.

Philippians 2:8 - “And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!”
Luke 2: 4-7: “4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. Judge orders Potter taken into custody without bail. Attorneys ask for arguments on the issue. Not a danger to the public, has made all court appointments, it’s Christmas season, will seek dispositional departure due to clear remorse. Ask that she not be incarcerated until sentencing. Deep roots in community, not a flight risk.
Prosecution asked she be taken into custody immediately. Customary to take into custody upon conviction for this level of crime. Potter not living in state, aggravating factor. Will be seeking Blakely sentencing enhancement.

THE THESIS: The Party intends to make the capital markets utterly irrational so they THEY--not the profit and loss statements--determine which businesses get loans. I believe The Party will do the same thing to us, where they replace our fairly rational credit ratings with completely irrational ESG scores. So, is housing a safe investment
