August 20 Kentucky Lawmaker Hopes for German Business Investment
Kentucky House Representative Scott Sharp, R-Ashland, has been designated the national chair of the American - German State Legislative Caucus (AGSLC), a bipartisan, multi-state organization dedicated to strengthening economic, educational, and cultural ties between the United States and Germany.

Sharp said. “Germany remains one of Kentucky's most important international economic partners, with German-owned companies employing thousands of Kentuckians and contributing significantly to the Commonwealth's manufacturing, automotive, logistics, and technology sectors.”

Sharp also discusses data center concerns and Gov. Andy Beshear's spending funds not allocated by the General Assembly.

WV Gov. Patrick Morrisey has concerns of misuse of the school clothing voucher program. Many families were left out of the program right before the start of school. Sen. Brian Helton and Delegate Evan Worrell co-chair the Legislative Oversight Commission on Health and Human Resources Accountability. During interim meetings this week they questioned Carl Ayers, secretary for the Department of Human Services, for nearly 90 minutes.
