Oregon Football's showdown with the Georgia Bulldogs on September 3rd in the Chick-fil-a Kickoff Game is now just 10 days away. As Fall Camp rolls along, one (somewhat) recurring headline from practice reports should catch the attention of Duck fans: injuries along the offensive line. Nothing is serious at this point in time, but in 10 days' time Oregon needs to have its O-line at full health if they're going to compete with Georgia.
On today's episode of Locked On Ducks, Spencer McLaughlin talks about Oregon's strongest returning unit from the 2021 season that saw the Ducks go 10-4. The offensive line has to be able to, at the very least, hold their own if Oregon is going to be competitive down in Atlanta against the Bulldogs. Could 5-star true freshman Josh Conerly Jr. be among the guys who come out to protect Bo Nix on September 3rd?
Duck fans are hoping that Dan Lanning and his new staff can bring a better schematic execution on game days compared to Mario Cristobal and his staff, who's limitations were most highlighted in the two blowout losses against Utah--which shouldn't happen for a team that's dominating the conference in recruiting. What would it mean if Oregon is able to knock off Georgia and/or Utah in 2022?
