It was the first full day of “Trump 2.0” as WTMJ host Jeff Sherman calls it. Jeff also went through a quick price index of former U.S. President Joe Biden’s last term.
TWO UP:
1. The Federal Trade Commission is suing Pepsi Co for favoritism and price fixing for certain retailers
2. Jeff Sherman went over the big business leaders that attended U.S. President Donald Trump’s inauguration
Jeff Sherman was joined on the phone by James Vanderloo, Station Manager at OEC Group Milwaukee, and they began by defining tariffs with Donald Trump threatening to raise them. He also asks James how OEC’s logistics clients are reacting to the possibility of tariffs.
-Jeff then asked James how previous tariff policies have affected OEC Group and other businesses as well as how tariffs would affect the Port of Milwaukee. They also went into the potential reaction from the United States’ trade partners like Canada and China.
Jeff Sherman was joined by Professor Emeritus at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Mordecai Lee, and Jeff immediately asked him about how previous U.S. presidents first days in office had evolved over time.
-Jeff next asked Mordecai about Donald Trump’s new Department of Government Efficiency and how it might affect Wisconsin and how quickly.
-Lastly, Jeff asked Mordecai about Trump’s growing relationship with big technology sector CEOs as seen in the front row of his inauguration as well as policies regarding healthcare and infrastructure.
