WTMJ host Jeff Sherman previewed today’s topics and went over the recent stock drops and gave his opinion on the matter.

-Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers approved funding for renovating the Milwaukee County courthouse complex as well as other projects.
-The former Walmart near State Fair Park was being planned for renovation for a Monterrey market and was approved with a need for private financing.
Speaking of Walmart, tariffs are affecting big box retailers like Walmart. Jeff brought up the ongoing effects.

Jeff then talked about vacant spaces that should house a business and went over some examples.
Jeff Sherman was joined on the phone by the president of Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital’s Milwaukee Campus Andre Storey. Jeff asked him about his journey to Milwaukee, solving staffing issues at Ascension and more.
-Jeff next asked Andre about the changes in healthcare, particularly with cuts in Medicaid, and how it is affecting Ascension’s patients, expanding their Milwaukee campus and the ransomware attack they faced last May when it comes to patient cybersecurity.
Jeff then talked about the what and the how and tariffs. He predicted U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Would be going after sugar. Jeff went over the numbers and alternatives.
