This week, we have a short story from master of gothic fantasy horror, William Hope Hodgson.  Famous in his lifetime for his novels 'The House on the Borderland' and 'The Night Land', this short story, 'The Voice in the Night', has arguably been his most influential. Dark, brooding, fantastical, it bears the hallmarks of Hodgson's style, and its themes can be traced to the modern day, with horror works such as 'The Last of Us'.
