Ben and Alex are back to break down The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3, Episode 4, “Found/Lost,” as the season officially reaches its halfway point.
This week, they dive into Maggie’s continued evolution, her relationships with Luis and Renata, Negan’s complicated place within the growing Manhattan community, and why this quieter, more character-driven episode still gives them plenty to unpack. They also discuss the season’s refreshing approach to storytelling, the growing investment in its new characters, Dillard’s increasingly intriguing role, and what the episode’s final moments could mean moving forward.
Plus, plenty of listener feedback, theories about Maggie and Negan’s futures, some classic Walking Dead callbacks, and as usual a few completely unexpected detours along the way.
Next up: TWD: Dead City S3E5 “Imperialis”. Let us know your thoughts!

Surprise! Here’s Jason, Veronica, and Amelie with coverage of the first five episodes of Apple TV’s dystopian sci-fi mystery, Silo! Synopsis: In a dystopian future where a community exists in a giant silo hundreds of stories deep underground, ten thousand people live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them. But some wonder if they’ve been lied to about why this silo was created and why they’re there.

Here's another bonus episode for you guys I'm sneaking in before Dead City S3, covering the new installment in one of my favorite horror series, Evil Dead. This is reposted from the long-dormant Evil Dead 'Cast, where my cohosts Rich, Chris, and I covered all the past Evil Dead movies and shows, and which you can find at podcastica.com/podcast/evil-dead-cast-an-ash-vs-evil-dead-podcast-baby

Hello friends! Another Evil Dead movie has been spawned, and thus, we must podcast! Something a bit different this time, a little weightier, more dramatic. Is that good? Listen in and find out what we thought.
Mentioned:
Next up: We’ll be back in 2028 for Evil Dead Wrath, and maybe we’ll sneak in an episode or two in before that.
In the meantime, we’ve been really busy covering a bunch of other great shows….

While we wait for Dead City S3, here's a repost of the Jeffrey Dean Morgan panel from Walker Stalker Con Atlanta 2016. This happened just a few days after S7E1 aired, so it was fresh in people's minds, and it was JDM's first convention appearance as Negan. One of my favorite panels ever.
JDM slips in and out of character, and quickly wins the crowd over. Let's see if he'll do the same for you :) We're also joined by Greg Nicotero, who directed the S7 premiere and gives a lot of great info on the thinking and logistics behind it.

There’s so much weight to this episode, in different ways. It’s absolutely landmark episode of The Walking Dead. And I didn’t remember how much it was just Negan applying constant pressure to Rick, until he breaks. Yes, it’s hard to watch, and I don’t blame anyone who thought it was too much. And also I think for what it was, it was done so well. Lucy and I are so pleased to be joined by Ben for this one to help us do it justice. Of course Ben hosts this podcast for Dead City coverage, and I think it was a good balance of viewpoints among the three of us. Hope you enjoy!
As we mentioned on the podcast, the rewatch will be on hiatus for awhile after this one. Sometime in the next two weeks I’ll be joined by Chris of The Talking Dead podcast and Rich to cover the new Evil Dead movie, Evil Dead Burn, and then soon after, Alex and Ben will be on for Dead City S3!

Welp, it’s time. Here’s Negan! Such a polarizing character, and y’all know I have my gripes. But I absolutely can’t deny he brought a huge shot of adrenaline to this show. He’s a character I often find incredibly fun to watch, and also, in some ways, frustratingly problematic. I’m very glad to have Alex here—cohost of our Dead City coverage and a huge Negan fan—to go over this landmark episode, with maybe the most iconic scene in all of The Walking Dead. So buckle up. Whether you like it or not, it’s pee-pee pants city time.

As Amber Lovo says in her feedback this week, this ep really sets up the pieces for the big gut punch coming. And the tragic part is, you could argue our people are right out there helping the Saviors set up those pieces.
