This week Carol, Tyreese, and the kids settle down in a nice little cottage amidst a grove of pecan trees and wildflowers, and it’s all very pretty and nice. Yep. That’s what happened. La la la la laaaa. Join Jason, Lucy, and guest Wendy to talk it out.
Who’s excited for me (Jason) and Karen to podcast regularly about a show again? If you are, subscribe to Wax Episodic where we’ll be covering Vince Gilligan’s upcoming new show, Pluribus (out Nov 7).

Aside from Beth being kidnapped, I’d forgotten just about everything from this episode, but it was a great one, with some very entertaining exchanges between Bob and Sasha, and of course the moments that that launched a thousand Bethyl fan fictions :) I’m thrilled to be joined by Randy to talk it out (and Lucy will be back next week for The Grove if I can just find that car that drove off with her….).
PS We forgot to mention it on the podcast, but happy 15th anniversary to The Walking Dead ‘Cast / The ‘Cast of Us! Still loving it just as much as the day I started. And in honor of that….
ANNOUNCEMENT: Did you hear? Karen and I are going to be podcasting on a series together again! Yep, there’s an as-yet-untitled Vince Gilligan (creator of Breaking Bad) series coming this year, and Karen and I will be covering it on my new podcast, Wax Episodic.

In this final episode of our Season 2 coverage of The Walking Dead: Dead City, Ben and Alex take a step back to reflect on the full season. We read and respond to all the amazing listener feedback submitted for the finale, sharing your thoughts, reactions, and standout moments. Then we dive into our overall impressions of the season—what worked, what surprised us, and what left us wanting more. We wrap things up by looking ahead to Season 3, discussing the storylines and character arcs we’re most excited (and hopeful) to see continue. Thanks for coming along for the ride!
Next up: We’ll be taking some time off to decompress after a busy first half of 2025 — Maybe go out side and take a walk? Get some fresh air? — And then Jason and Lucy will be back on July 21 (or so) to continue the Waking Dead rewatch! We left off with TWD S4E13 “Alone”, the one where Beth gets kidnapped. Let us know your thoughts.
If you want something else to listen to in the meantime, Jason can be found over on Squid Game ‘Cast for the final season of that show now, and soon he’ll be releasing the first ep of his new podcast, Wax Episodica, covering the upcoming Alien: Earth series, and more exciting things to come. All of that can be found at podcastica.com.

I couldn’t help but notice that several of our Podcastica hosts have voices that are… let’s just say, exceptionally rich and resonant. So I thought—why not get them all together for a fun, laid-back conversation? In this special episode of our usually Patreon-exclusive Listener Chitchat series, I’m joined by four of our deepest-voiced dudes, Erik, Jonathan, Greg, and Alex, to talk podcasting, fandoms, Star Wars, The Walking Dead, and whatever else comes up. It’s a relaxed hang with some of the smoothest voices on the network—just for the fun of it.
Enjoy!
