On the day of his inauguration US President Joe Biden signed off on 15 executive orders aimed at undoing much of his predecessor's legacy on a range of policies, from immigration to climate and health policy. On Friday he signed two more executive orders, one focused on expanding food assistance and delivering stimulus checks to very low-income Americans, and the other on raising the minimum wage to $15 for the federal workforce.Meanwhile, Senate leaders struck a deal on Friday to delay former President Donald Trump's impeachment trial for two weeks, giving President Biden time to install his cabinet and begin moving a legislative agenda before they begin a historic proceeding to try his predecessor.
