Learners wishing to further their studies at institutions of higher learning but did not apply in time, will be assisted. The Department of Higher Education is calling on them to apply to the Central Applications Clearing House, which falls under the department. This comes as the EFF Student Command has called on students, including those who did not apply, to report to their preferred institutions of higher learning to register. This is in response to President Jacob Zuma's announcement last month that tertiary education will be free in 2018. However, authorities say there is no need for students to go to tertiary institutions in person, but rather use the online services.
