Political Analyst Ralph Mathekga says Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene's apology changes everything about the relationship he had with those who stood for him .Elvis Presslin spoke to him

he EFF has rejected Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene's apology. It has instead described him as a liar and called for his immediate resignation. Nene publicly apologised on Friday after he failed to fully disclose his interactions with the Gupta family. Nene's apology comes three weeks before he presents the Medium-Term Budget speech. It also casts a shadow over his political credibility at a time when President Cyril Ramaphosa is demanding ethical leadership. The organisers of yesterday 's protests in Ennerdale and Eldorado Park, south of johannesburg, say they will continue with protest action until President Cyril Ramaphosa and Gauteng premier David Makhura pledge action against crime, gangsterism and the economic exclusion of South Africa's coloured communities. The protests started after a Westbury mother - Heather Peterson was fatally shot and and her 10-year old niece wounded after being caught in the crossfire of an alleged gang shootout. President Cyril Ramaphosa says now that the 2018 Jobs Summit has ended, the task ahead will be to focus on implementing of the framework agreement. The agreement which social partners, government, business and labour signed, entails that 275-thousand jobs will be created per year. When Ramaphosa officially closed the summit in Midrand, Johannesburg, he proposed that it be held bi-annually. He says the presidential Jobs Committee will monitor the initiatives and programmes that stemmed from the just-ended jobs summit.
